Small room, but clean and with a great view. We liked the bar downstairs and the board games to play. Walking distance to all Gaslamp Quarter areas and a quick Uber to most anywhere else. It was extremely loud until 5:30 in the morning though, so if you’re looking for a peaceful stay, this isn’t it.

Hotel was great! Loved the decor and the vibe. Downstairs was super cute and had tons of board games to play & even some Pac-Man games. Room was very clean and had an eclectic decor. Staff was very friendly & the bar seemed to be busy and full of happy customers. Street parking was super easy to find and there was a ton of restaurants within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here September 2nd and checked out September 3rd. Our room faced the main street on the seventh floor and we couldn’t hear the noise from outside. The AC was loud enough and they had white noise machine in the room which we absolutely loved. The bed was comfortable and the room temperature was just right. We would definitely stay here again.

A lot of very nice and helpful staff members. The hotel had a very NY / LA feeling. It did not get too loud in the hotel but the surrounding area (ie homeless folks and other ppl shouting and making a lot of noise at all hours of the night was very very unsettling).

Overall, we’ve always enjoyed our stays at various Moxy locations, but this one was in a terrible location. The staff that checked us in was very friendly but it went downhill from there. The property is in a filthy area of San Diego-the Gaslamp District. We had to watch every step so we didn’t walk into human feces, pee, trash or cockroaches. I have loved visiting San Diego for over 40 years, but the shine has definitely faded as addicts have taken over the streets. We were also kept up during all hours of the night by street racing behind the hotel, rude guests returning home from late night parties, and guests’ barking dogs. I will not be returning to this hotel or any in the near vicinity.

Coming back late night to the hotel, its the Gaslamp, a few shady characters in the area, but overall, Very nice experience. Room was small but nice. No Closet and the A/C was very noisy and loud but minor inconveniences
