My reviw is based on July travel to a city that is 4 hours drive from my city. I was there with wife and 14 year old daughter, in July. Let me start by saying it was an excellent expeince over all. Poperty over all is clean almost spotless. The service to the most part was outstanding, almost eveyone was very polite, respectful and tentive. House keeping however came in late the in the afternoon, often after we settled for a break between morning and evening activities, which i would say slightly annoying. The location in downtown San Diego is great as it offers east access to most attractions. After many trips to SD my wife and i decided on a stay in the downtown area and we really had no regrets and we plan to on doing that for every future trip since we usually travel in our own vehicle. Examples we drove to La Jola shores and La Jola cove, it takes about 15-20 minutes easy drive , the same or less to Coronado beach / island. Easy drive to airport sea world Palopa and many others. The only sore point foe me has been hotel parking. The hotel offers self parking for 42 $ per night and valete parking for 55$ we opted for the first one of course, but boy i was in for a surprise. The parking is on the 11th floor, yes indeed you have to go though a narrow hillical driveway to the 7th floor followed by a mase of twist and turns, not sutable for squeemish harted or unexperienced drivers. I got used to it by the last day i would say.
