2nd time here at The Preserve at Maple Creek
This is our second time staying at The Preserve at Maple Creek. The first time we stayed in the Barn Cabin and my oldest daughter was married in the glass chapel 2 years ago. We LOVE this property! It's much more than just a place to stay. We did a little hike through the property on Thanksgiving day and had such a great time!!! My oldest lives in Rutherfordton so any time we plan to visit this is where we hope to stay!

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing get away!
Property and housing was great. Lots to see and do on property and more available to see and do close by. Whether you are looking for a get away just to rest and relax or be one with nature and explore. This provides the idea space for both! Ieven ask for another night stay if no one

Getting Back to Nature
The Farmhouse was just perfect for the three of us. Upstairs bedroom/bath was private as well as the downstairs bed/bath. We loved the open living and kitchen area - very comfortable with lovely furnishings. The kitchen was well stocked and we loved the outdoor eating area and landscaping was beautiful

Beautiful, Relaxing Stay
My family and I booked the Farmhouse to be able to check out the property for a wedding we are looking to have there later this year. Not only was the property unique with so much for us to discover, but Laura and Steve have done such a beautiful job with updating the property while at the same time perserving its historical elements. They were so kind and had great communciation with us leading up to and during our stay! We look forward to staying here again in the fall and celebrating our special day here with our family!

Perfect for a Tryon Event!
What a great property! Upon pulling into the property we were immediately greeted by the hosts. They are what all hosts should aspire to be. We were able to fit in a quick walk of the property, which is gorgeous. The photos just can't capture the tranquility and peacefulness. The guesthouse was perfect for me and my young daughter. It gave us enough room to relax after a rough day at the Equestrian Center, but small enough where it still felt charming and cozy. You can definitely tell the home is well cared for. We'd definitely stay again!

Unique & Memorable Visit
We visit relatives in Rutherford County frequently & have stayed at 3 different hotels over the yrs, but haven't really enjoyed one yet, so we looked for something different this trip & found this option. Boy, did we hit a home run. It's an historic property with your choice of a stay in the farmhouse guest quarters or two historic cabins on the large property. We chose the guest quarter option & were pleased with the spacious accommodations & well appointed rooms. All of the choices are rustic, in that they are old, but all have been updated to provide you with all the comforts of home. You can enjoy walking the trails on the beautiful property, enjoy some peaceful time in the special glass chapel, or just enjoy some peace and quiet time in the lovely foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC. Laura & Steve are the owners & will go above & beyond the call of duty to make you feel comfortable & welcome. They are happy to share some of the history of the property & throughout the homes. If you must have a hotel in Rutherford County, your best bet is the Hampton Inn, but if you're looking for a unique & memorable place to stay, the Preserve at Maple Creek will make you happy.

Quiet and Relaxing
My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in June. The quarters are beautiful and clean. Great quality sheets and towels. Historic Rutherfordton downtown is minutes away and easy to get to. 30 minutes to Lake Lure and Saluda. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. The owners obviously love their home and are very welcoming.

A wonderful Gem
We were in town for four days competing at the TIEC for the 1st time. The Garmhouse was a perfect getaway from the heat and days activities. Everything was nice and clean. The owners were nice and clear directions were left. I will definitely keep this place in mind for a return trip. The location is about 20 minutes from TIEC and remote. But very lovely and worth it.

Amazing Property!
The Preserve at Maple Creek is an amazing property, and the Farmhouse Guest Quarters is a wonderful rental. The pictures don’t really do the place justice! It was clean, comfortable in every way, and had everything we could have needed in the kitchen and baths. Beds very comfortable and more than enough for our party. We would love to visit again!

In the area for an event at the Tryon Equestrian center. Farm house stay was perfect for my friend and me. Very comfortable. Unique property with the trails, etc., which we utilized. Equally easy drives to Charlotte and Asheville. Enjoyed the property and would definitely stay here again if ever back in the area. Had the bonus of getting to meet the owners. Very welcoming, kind and friendly. Thanks for letting us stay!

Perfect wedding venue!
What a PERFECT place for our daughters wedding! Everything was top notch. Our suite (the Historic Farmhouse) was lovely and the kitchen was just right for preparing the reception food. The reception room was wonderful - a beautiful neutral canvas for adding Hannah’s own personality. The convenience of having our suite adjoin the reception room made keeping the tables replenished kept me (mother of the bride) part of the party. The suite was so pretty, comfortable and well supplied. Miss Laura was a perfect hostess - always available to answer questions and accommodate our needs. All the history in the house is amazing - wish we’d planned more time to take it all in. The topper - the gorgeous glass chapel!!! I can’t think of any place that could have been more beautiful for Hannah and Adam’s wedding. All in all - the Preserve at Maple Creek was everything we could have asked for and MORE! It’s the perfect place for an intimate wedding. Thank you so much for your hospitality!
