The room was downgraded I had a small pet the rooms were outdated with electrical outlet loose heater cover was hanging off. Room plaster was chipped off tub was dirty. Phone was dirty lighting was alful. Worse stay ever!

Door pass key worked intermittently. Had it reprogrammed same results. Breakfast, stayed 2 nights and both mornings had to ask for coffee it was empty. No butter or jelly, no napkins and was given a box of tissues to use. Poor selection of breakfast items. Second morning it looked like only leftovers were available. Previous stay at HJ in Lexington was great. Salem needs help.

Early check in.
The young lady at the front desk was rude and did not have a pleasant attitude. I inquired if i could check in early and was told that i had to pay 35 dollars extra. This was the second weekend that i stayed there. I will not stay there again due to the not being able to check in early. I asked for early check in when i reserved the room due to working nights and i am a day sleeper. The room i was in was clean and the bed was comfortable it had a microwave that i could not plug in so i could not heat up any food. The TV remote was missing, and the housekeeper gentle man took care of without any problem he also wrote down the TV channels for me he was very helpful. .

RUN!! Do not book!!!
Horrible dirty filthy MOTEL! It looks like people literally are living there. People were hanging out at 2am! They put us next to a room where the people seem like they lived there. There was a guy with multiple people in his car playing loud music with the trunk opened! We went to get ice and there was NONE. We asked for an extra blanket but they didn't have any! Front desk didn't seem to care at all. Place is OLD AND RUNNED DOWN! They still have a pay phone! It was dusty and dirty! The bed had hair and stains on the sheets! The bathtub was filthy! Kleenex box was empty! Trust when I say DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL! I don't know where those good reviews came from because that hotel is NOT ever going to be up to par unless they renovate it!

The website was unclear that it’s a motel, but there were people sleeping in their cars outside of our room. The room itself was so old / rundown we didn’t take shoes off and avoided the bathroom all together. If we hadn’t arrived at midnight with two little kids we would have changed hotels immediately.

Reeked of sewage. Could see where it had backed up into the sink of the first room we were given. Moved to another that had not been updated. No ice machine. It "didn't work". Could see that it had been pulled apart long ago and never repaired or replaced. "Breakfast" was pathetic.
