Hotel located not far from Ipanema beach, surrounded by a good choice of eateries and bars. Hotel looks a bit dated. Bathroom was too small. Can be quite noisy with people coming out of rooms on the same floor. Worse was the noisy air conditioner in the adjacent room. One of the two available lifts/elevators kept developing a fault during our stay which made floor selection random! Breakfast was very good. Wi-Fi signal in the room was indifferent. Overall it was acceptable.

Hotel is located in an excellent neighborhood, walking distance to upscale shopping, restaurants, and the beach. Easy access to public transportation (subway station nearby). Comfortable hotel, somewhat outdated decor but friendly and helpful staff, and good breakfast which is available from 6:30 to 11 allowing plenty of time for early and late risers.

Helpful, pleasant reception staff. A great location for beach, shopping and dining. The room was smaller than I expected, the bathroom more so. But the bed was comfortable (great pillows) and the A/C and Wi-Fi worked perfectly. If you’re looking for a place to sleep in a convenient Ipanema location, this is a very good option.

Lo primero y más importante es el excelente servicio al cliente. Gracias a Rafael, Ebiele, Solange, Adilson y a todo el staff que me hicieron sentir en casa y en familia. Mi estadia fue de 14 días. .El desayuno muy bueno y completo. .La habitación muy cómoda y limpia, .Es un hotel muy bien ubicado a 2 calles de la playa, una zona llena de comercio( restaurantes, bares, etc.) muy seguro y con mucha presencia de la policía. Recomiendo este hotel 100% y espero poder volver pronto.

My overall comment is that the hotel is not worth the high price I had to pay. I did not try the bar nor the gym. But both these spots looked quite un-friendly and sometimes not even clean. The hotel is located in a fun area good for the beach lovers and the ambiance is not at all business friendly. Some of the staff speak English a little bit and it is quite difficult to communicate with most of them at the reception or in the restaurant for Breakfast. Also the breakfast, though with a large variety of dishes on display is not good as most of the hot dishes are not freshly cooked and I think are recycled over and over again. The same applies to pastries and croissants etc. For my departure to the airport on Sunday morning, the hotel arranged for a Taxi which was I think illegal and was trying to cheat me on the price and payment.

EVITE ESTE HOTEL. A equipe da recepção precisa de um treinamento melhor, especialmente o Rueben (o senhor mais velho que trabalha na recepção durante o dia). Um roubo de celular ocorreu em frente ao hotel, e o Rueben não ajudou nem reconheceu o ocorrido; em vez disso, disse arrogantemente: “vocês precisam de nós, mas eu não vou ajudar vocês”. Nenhuma empatia demonstrada. Se você quer se sentir seguro no Rio, EVITE este hotel AVOID THIS HOTEL. The reception team need better training, especially Rueben (the old man who works on the desk during the day). A mobile phone theft occurred in front of the property, and Rueben didn’t help or acknowledge the theft, instead he arrogantly said ‘you need us, but I won’t help you’. No empathy shown. If you want to feel safe in Rio, AVOID this hotel.

What is ridiculous is that everybody in the neatby apartment on the hill can see straight through the huge bathroom window when you're taking a shower, and there is no way to prevent it What is worse is that you may not even pay attention to that fact so that women can essentially be molested visually without even knowing it Normally, Peeking through a window at somebody who is unclothe would be a very serios crime; this hotel encourages it -- there is no warning or way for people to know, if they're not paying attention, or at night, that they are being viewed in the nude at leisure by anybody standing near their window in those apartments above.
