Fabulous hotel for the price. The receptionist Alecia (working Sunday afternoon 5/10) was such a great ambassador for your hotel. We had checked out the day before but she still provided 5* support and information when we found ourselves in this part of town again.

The location is very convenient for seeing the old town. It can potentially become a bit noise outside but when I stayed it was a quiet period. Staff is very friendly and helpful to give suggestions. Nearby the train and bus station.

Location was central but busy tourist area which affected ambience if the building. Staff were all very helpful and the decor wonderful. No English TV stations was disappointing given the room charge.

Ideally situated just a short walk from the airport bus stop (Grēcinieku iela) past the House of the Blackheads and within sight of the Freedom Monument. Outside is a large square with plenty of restaurants though they did seem to have similar menus and charge similar prices. Everything went quiet at 11:00pm. Receptionists were helpful and spoke very good English. The room was renovated fairly recently and overlooked the square. It was very comfortable and clean. The only reservation was that the large screen TV only had about 4 channels actually tuned in but I hadn't gone to watch TV and the wi-fi was good enough to catch up on my tablet anyway. The buffet breakfast wasn't the most lavish I've seen but in common with many hotels they were trying to push you towards a plated meal from the à la carte menu to cut down on food waste. I would have no hesitation to stay here again.

A wonderful location for exploring the old city. The bedrooms are beautifully designed and very clean. The hotel interior design has had a quirky refit which works well. Sadly next door is a bar with pounding music continuing until 06.00. Ear plugs are available and recommended. The staff were terrific and a good breakfast is provided. All most hospitable and helpful. We shall go again.

It was good located. Staff were very friendly and helpsome. Breckfast was realy good. It was clean in badroom and room. But there ware no windows. No noise of cause. But it was too warm in aur room and staff cot´not do anysing to make it cooler.

Whilst the property was clean and centrally located there were two issues I had with it which resulted in me docking a star. The first was the fact that the rooms have no windows facing outside, but instead a window facing into the inner section of the hotel. I knew this before arriving so this wasn't the issue. The problem this created was the lights are always on inside and the curtain over the internal "window" wasn't a black-out curtain, so when trying to sleep there was quite a lot of light coming into the room even with the curtain drawn. The second issue was the aircon. They provide extensive instructions next to the wall unit on how to change the temperature however it never seemed to "stick". Speaking to reception it turns out the temperature is controlled centrally for the whole building. When I was there when it was quite hot (and I prefer a cooler room to sleep) this meant it was always quite warm in the room. Both these issues combined meant I didn't sleep particularly well. I'm aware that having the room dark and cool is a personal preference which is why I only knocked off 1 star but if you're the same as me, then be aware of this.

Very good location in the center, sometimes a little bit noisy. Decoration old fashion, red color in the room, don't get nervous like a bull ;) Very welcoming people at the reception and for the breakfast.

The hotel is absolutely lovely, very clean, great breakfast and a fantastic view of Līvu Square however if you are looking for a good sleep this is unfortunately not the best place to choose. The live singer in the restaurant opposite goes on until midnight but the karaoke bar next door but one goes on until 4am. Such a shame as otherwise the location is perfect.

The hotel is beautiful and the bed and room were very nice. The location is right in the middle of a very busy square so there’s lots to see and do. Not that it’s the hotel’s fault, but the restaurant right in front of them plays incredibly loud music until close to 11 pm so if you need to get to sleep early it’s difficult. They offered to arrange my airport transfer for 35 euros but I found you can order a Grab easily for 13 euros.

Really nice hotel in an excellent location. Very comfortable, very good reception desk service and very nice breakfast. Would 100% recommend to stay at this hotel. Close to the main parks, bus and train station about 10 minute walk and located in the old town.
