Property and service is wonderful. Little bit outside of town. Property has lots of amenities and activities like free kids club, restaurants etc that makes the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Gunrud at the reception desk and Valeria at the boat rental desk was very helpful. Nothing much to do around the property itself. City of Tropea is a 10/15min drive. Lots of activity and dining options there.

Beautiful gardens and beach. Plenty of free parking. The road down to the resort is not as steep and winding as for other places making for easier access. Lots of families with kids, kids club, playground. The rooms are clean and have the basics, but the standard room is very small so, if you can afford it, it would be worth to upgrade. The dinner options were too fancy for our tastes, but there are many restaurants nearby with the closest being about 3 minutes by car. We would love to return soon.

The property itself is gorgeous. The only downsides are 1. food on resort is a bit of a miss (not enough simple, local dishes in favor of fancy over-the-top dishes ) although breakfast was lovely and 2 you have to have a car to get to Tropea as the resort is isolated and there is not much to do in terms of activities or entertainment. If the weather is nice, you are in for a treat because their beach staff is impeccable and their grounds are breathtaking.

Secret Place in Calabria, not to be missed !
Fabulous stay, as last years (we are return guests, as is most of the hotels guests). Perfect service, outstanding food, gorgeous property, nice sandy beach (however with rocks in the water, perfection doesnt exist), the water in the sea is surreal clean, perfect family holidays spot ! But quality and exclusivity comes with a price ! This is not a bargain price hotel !!! We will save money and come back next year for sure. What a delightful small property !

Good value and generaly positive stay
A very interesting resort. The accommodation itself is very good and the grounds are neat and well maintained. Service is conscientious but a bit of a mixed bag because a lot of the staff do not speak good English. The resort does seem to be popular with German and local guests - the main languages spoken by staff seem to be Italian and German. For those who take a meal package, there is a very good selection for breakfast and dinner, and the quality is generally high, although it takes a while to understand the dinner offering; some nights are full buffet whereas other nights are buffet for appetisers but a la carte for main. Wine choice is relatively limited and the cocktail bar staff's repertoire (even for menu items) is limited. But overall a lovely spot on a glorious beach and a generally positive and good value experience for a beach break with young kids.

The Baia del Sole wasn't open in time for our stay, but they kindly set us up at a beautiful hotel the Capivaticano Thelessa Spa which was stunning and had an amazing breakfast. Very helpful and hard working staff. Thank you for such a great stay!!

The resort was spotless, the landscaping perfect, incredibly zen. Only complaint is need water shoes as there are rocks in the water. Breakfast was included and the food was amazing. We were not as impressed with the buffet supper meals that were offered. We also enjoyed visiting Tropea.

Good resort
Good size resort with lots of facilities, beautiful manicured gardens, private beach and nice pool area. Newly renovated rooms, very clean, good buffet breakfast. Well located to visit the Capo Vaticano area & beaches and 15 min by car from Tropea. Best suited for families as there are many children, but it is also fine for couples.

Hotel catering to mass tourists. Seating is assigned, no choice. Stampede at 7pm sharp to buffet at dinner. Hot dishes always arrived lukewarm. No room service. No toileteries in bathroom. 12" TV in room - no English language channels. TOURING BUS CROWD GOT PREFERENCE.

Wonderful memories
We were so pleased with this hotel, first: we had our own single standing room and it was very comfortable and cozy. Second: the food was fantastic the buffet night was excellent (mostly the choices of fish and salads) The staff was very friendly and attentive, most of them spoke English, German and although I speak fluent Italian they tried their English on me. We will be back

very nice place to stay and enjoy the beach and the sea but not very accessible to Capo Vaticano and needed to pay a asurcharge of 12 euros to go to Tropea and to go to the Eolie isles

For a four star hotel this was far from it. The room was small dark and not very up market although the outside areas were great and the staff very good. The food was very good and the waiters tried very hard. A little italian language goes a long way
