Some aspects were lovely
We stayed here in June 2019 as a family, 6 of us in total, one a 2 year old.
The positive aspects of the property included the initial helpfulness of the owner when we added a day at the property, in addition the outdoor areas of the property were lovely, with a large . long dining table, excellent enormous grill and bbq area which we used almost every night. The property was as advertised in terms of swimming pool, number of bedrooms , bathrooms etc . We enjoyed going to the pebble beach just down the road from the villa. It was absolutely deserted, and there were a few fish in the sea if you fancy snorkeling.
Unfortunately we had some major issues with communication with the management company whilst at the villa.
When we arrived at the villa the gates had locked us out and Kathy (the welcome hostess) had to scale the gates to let us into the property.
We then discovered that the hot water was not working, so no-one could have any showers or use the 'hot tub' as the water was all freezing. This took two days to resolve with two plumbers who then required access whilst we were trying to live in the property. We were not offered any compensation for this.
The dishwasher also did not work, so we had to unload all the dirty dishes and hand wash them. This remained broken for 10 days, despite my repeatedly reporting it broken, so we had to wash up for the duration of the trip. In fact the cleaner had a look at it, and because it started the cycle, she reported it was not broken, so I had to send videos of it to Kathy- which was all a bit stressful.
The cleanliness of the property was excellent, except the air con unit in the main bedroom on the first floor. I do not know if it had not been used for a while, but when we turned it on for the first night, clouds of dust were emitted and rendered the bedroom uninhabitable until it was aired out.
On one evening we thought we would get a taxi 2km down the road to go for a meal at a local restaurant which was recommended. I texted Kathy for a taxi number, and she replied saying she was happy to arrange a taxi for us (we presumed she would use a local cab firm. The taxi turned up and cost us 40 Euros !!!! so my husband had to walk back to the villa to get the car.
Despite reporting these problems- we eventually received no response.
We were disappointed as one expects luxury when away on holiday and it is stressful and hard work when basic appliances fail and communications with the owner are ignored.
