Guest services gentleman was good. Just the room itself was awful. Room 103, lower floor. I explore the room, as I do, whenever I stay in hotel/motel.
I turn on lights. The floor lamp had a light bulb missing. I’m glad I didn’t put my finger in the socket.
I had to plug in and charge my camera. The
outlet wasn’t working and neither was the power strip. The power strip had tv, microwave and fridge plugged into it.
Went to front desk and he called maintenance. He put a bulb in. He had to check the fuse box.
That was figured out.
I hadn’t looked at the bathroom yet. When I did I was hesitant but I was soooo tired I needed to rest. I was going to take a shower. Put the water on and once it was hot, the water started coming out of the handicap accessible entry for the shower. There was a crack in the wall of the shower base.
It wasn’t until after that when I found a bug on the bed. That was a clear sign I needed to leave. But it was late and needed sleep. I really should have left, because of the mold in the bathroom. I went to the desk and said I would be checking out early in the morning. Gave them a list of things that was wrong with the room. They offered to switch but I was too tired and just wanted to leave at daylight. Unacceptable! I hope all the other rooms aren’t that bad.
