Great House plenty of room
house was wonderful for what we needed. there were some cleaning issues but not so much that it would be intolerable. (spider webs stains on shower curtains a few dirty sinks.) the house was inviting and warm, the Yard was amazing with secluded peace and beauty. the pool was not usable as it was cloudy and this time of year very filled with leaves daily. the hot tub was a major disappointment because it was not powered and cold for all the days we were there. the group was very disappointed as it was a major selling point when we chose where to stay. We stayed for 5 days, the last night it was finally warm enough although not hot and we didn't get home until around 10:00 pm so no one used it. we would for sure stay here again but would check in advance that the hot tub had been powered up. Gail was great with communication but there was nothing she could do to fix the hot tub since it took so long to warm.

Enjoyed our stay
The house was fantastic overall, and we loved the pool. The bedrooms and the kitchen had plenty of space. However, with our large group, we wished for more seating in the living room. Additionally, the kitchen could use more basic utensils, such as sharp knives and grill accessories, for the outdoor gas grill. We also would have preferred the backyard to be less overgrown. Furthermore, the wrap-around deck and outside stairs could use some maintenance. Overall, we enjoyed the property and our stay.

Amazing property, outstanding owner
The house and grounds are outstanding...an oasis in Redding! The kitchen, bedrooms and outdoor living spaces are top notch! The swimming pool and hot tub are clean and chemically well-balanced (I am a stickler on pools and spas' water being balanced to be safe!). Ms. Gail, as a host, is generous and responsive. So thankful we stayed in this VRBO in Redding!

Quiet getaway
This was our second time staying at the yellow house and it was delightful. We spent most of our time poolside. My children ages 8-14 had a blast swimming the days away!

Perfect family vacation
This home was the perfect home for our vacation. It had everything we were looking for - room for everyone, privacy, and most importantly, a pool. Pictures on website are outdated but the place is still beautiful. Really the only issue we had was with the heat of the pool. There were no instructions on how to adjust the heat and it was really cold. it was cold for all of us but our 3 year-old grandson could only be in it for short lengths of time because he would start shivering and his lips would turn blue. On day four my husband finally looked at the controls and saw it was set to 80 degrees but noticed it would turn off in the late afternoon. We did end up raising it to 85 and that helped a lot and we really enjoyed the pool after that. We turned it back down to what it was when we left so as not to waste energy.

Great location for a family vacation. House has a great pool, hot tub and back yard. Kitchen could use a few extra utensils for those who want to cook / eat in after a day's play on Shasta Lake.

Perfect Propert For a Getaway
We didn't want to leave! :) This property is a sanctuary away from it all! No street noise, quiet neighborhood, and the landscaping provides for a feeling of a private oasis! We can't wait to come back!!!

Great property!
We liked it here a lot. It’s a nice property and the owner was very responsive. We could have used better pillows on some of the beds. And some of the beds were a little soft, but comfortable. Pool is solar heated so it was a bit chilly (in late May) but we still enjoyed it. Plus there is a hot tub. We would stay here again.

Serene Relaxation in Redding
My wife, adult daughter with special needs and I had a wonderful stay at Gail's yellow house in Redding. The wrap around porch and beautiful backyard made us feel like we were staying at a resort. Gail communicated exceptionally well from booking to our check out. The couple of items that needed to be addressed, were taken care of immediately by Gail's local handyman Will. We can't say enough good things about him, he was fabulous. We look forward to staying again at This wonderfully comfortable home in such a serene setting and close to everything.

Great location
My husband & I came with our teenage daughters and Mother-in-law to visit our son's family. It was comfortable and had beautiful grounds. We appreciated being able to be able to park in the garage as well. An added plus was a washer and dryer set on both floors.

Nice home with well kept grounds and pool.
The house was spacious and easily accommodated our group of 8. The pool and pool area was very nice. If you plan on cooking meals bring what you need. The house was not very clean and some things were broken. We let Gail know and she apologized and sent out her handyman Will to fix what he could. Will is awesome, we really appreciated him!! Overall we enjoyed our stay at Gail’s lovely home.

Great family get-together place
We had a great visit. The house was comfortable and clean, the yard beautiful and private, the pool excellent. Gail was quick to respond to our questions. The only bummer was that the hot tub was broken. We appreciated that a maintenance guy was sent to fix it (unsuccessfully) but it was a disappointment that we were unable to use it. We would appreciate a small refund because of this but either way we felt that we would definitely come back and enjoy this property. The kitchen had essentials and we were happy we could use the grill. The beds were Amazing and the bedding and towels were nice quality. Overall I'd give it a 5 star but because of the broken hot tub I guess 4-4.5 star is more fitting. The grass was watered multiple times a day and literally felt like a sponge the entire time so the kids couldn't play on it, which was too bad but again, something we could overlook because everything else was so nice. Be careful of the door knobs on All the bedroom & bathroom doors. They lock from the inside and you need a key to unlock, which we didn't have. Out youngest locked us out of one bedroom and Gail sent someone to fix it (which was So nice because it was past 8pm). It took him a while to fix. I could see this being a safety issue and would definitely recommend the knobs be replaced. Besides those few issues our stay was perfect and we are so glad we found this place!

Great Family Getaway
We had a wonderful time staying in this home for 10 days. The host was available if needed and the home was clean and everything we needed to be comfortable was there for our using. The pool is huge and the teens enjoyed spending hours in it. The hot tub was also a wonderful way to end the days. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle as the neighborhood is quiet but only a quick drive to stores and shops. A wonderful time was had here!

Amazing! Our family had a great time!
My family and I stayed here for an end-of-summer vacation and it was a blast! The pool is amazing and the outdoor oasis is spectacular! We were a little bummed that the jacuzzi wasn’t working, and was rather dirty.. so hopefully Gail will get a new jacuzzi tub out there soon-and we would love to come back! This house is beyond gorgeous, and spacious enough for a larger family get-together.
