Our family loved staying here! It's a short enough drive to the beaches without being right on the beach. The place was such a nice change from chain hotels. The staff was super friendly. The beds were comfortable, the room was spacious for our family of 6. It was great. The only downside was a weak internet connection where some areas I couldn't access.

Formally lived in the area and haven't been there in 25 years. Always a good location for the area. Women at front desk very helpful. Room attendant did a terrific job. It was very hot just missed having a pool.

It’s a historic hotel so don’t expect upgrades you might be accustomed to, but at the same time it was very quiet and in a great location and the sheets themselves were very clean and tidy. They allow pets and you can smell such; and have sulfur water so maybe wash your hair prior to staying here. But at the same time, very nice people, fresh flowers, decent breakfast, great area, sheets were clean, and felt safe.

The room was clean and comfortable. Desk staff were friendly and helpful. The main lobby was beautiful and nicely decorated. The hotel provided board games for guests to play in the common area, bikes to borrow, and a foosball table, which was fun. The only downside was that the continental breakfast wasn't so great. It consisted of anything you could put in a toaster, or a bowl of cereal. No traditional options like eggs, yogurt, or even any toppings for the toaster waffles besides syrup. But besides that, it was a good place to stay and we would definitely go again- we would just make breakfast plans for elsewhere.

The family suite was perfect for us with our 3 grandchildren. Wish they could just make a few, minor, inexpensive repairs (replace/repair missing tiles in bedside tables, replace the damaged bathroom door and "tighten up" the window air conditioner for better energy efficiency). I would have given it 5 stars otherwise.
