Rooms desperately need an uplift, soiled and faulty furniture, dusty ceiling, stained communal carpets that are not regularly hoovered, abrupt reception staff when approached with issues. Suggested I leave at 9 pm shortly after I'd reported the issues even though I'm heavily pregnant, and book elsewhere for a full refund. I was treated with contempt. Overall a terible stay. I hadn't been to the PH Reading since 2019, it's become a cheap hostel. Disappointed as I expected more from Pentahotel. Hotels.com promptly refunded my second night.

Was allocated a room that already had a guest in it. When I was given an alternative room the hallway immediately outside stank of people smoking weed. The curtains didn’t cover the whole window so had street light shining on the bed all night. Shower gel was empty and wasn’t topped up on request. Breakfast was good
