Ignore the negative comments about this place and come and enjoy the facilities - and the amazing views! You will undoubtedly have read about the 350+ steps from Atrani to the property and, sure enough, these are a challenge. However, the property is well run and is very clean, and the views from the terrace and pool are amazing. We had room 5 with the large terrace and were not disappointed.
Check in was handled by the groundsman who, despite speaking only Italian (no big surprise - in Italy!! People should stop moaning about that and learn to speak some Italian if it bothers them that much!) was very helpful and tried his best to settle us in.
We were given some basic amenities to get by the first couple of days, which we were grateful for, and we bought more in Atrani during the week. The pool area is in a good spot and there's even a free-to-use washing machine (which worked fine!) to refresh clothes if needed.
We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Rosa and would definitely consider coming back, as the majority of the other residents also said while we were there.
Clearly the steps will be an issue if you have mobility issues or are unfit, but if you don't mind a mini workout after your evening meal this place is ideal.
Atrani is a lovely small town and Amfali (a short walk through a pedestrian tunnel) is truly stunning. Ravello is more challenging to get to - we walked down to Amalfi and got the bus, The driver dropped us in Atrani on our return.
