Tiny House at Deerfield

Welcome to Deerfield - a collaboration between friends and neighbors.

This tiny home on wheels was built on an 8x18 Lucky's Trailer Frame (Vermont Trailer Sales Company) by a gentleman right here in East Randolph, who built it for his daughter when she went to college in an effort to set her up for success by avoiding the outrageous cost to live on campus. This off grid tiny house is complete with a natures head composting toilet (it's not as scary as it sounds), stand up shower (with the highest ceiling that you might expect in a tiny house), three burner stove top, dorm size refrigerator, a futon (that can fold down and can fit two people snuggly), a TV and the smallest dining table and two chairs you ever did see!

The home comes furnished with your basic cooking equipment, sheets, towels a comforter and two sleeping bags for the futon.

The primary sleeping is a full-size bed in the loft, which requires the ladder to access.

The home is situated on 10 acres which you are free to roam. This is a natural setting so making your own trail is not only essential but encouraged! Don't forget about Vermont's Right to Roam (unless you see a posted sign you can keep exploring).

Thank you for looking at our property.
Make yourself comfortable in this cabin, featuring a kitchenette with a refrigerator and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment.
This smoke-free cabin offers books.
Guests will find features like onsite parking.

Not for the "elderly"
Cute but we had issues. Advertised as "sleeping 4" but really slept only two, maybe three. We saw the ladder to the loft in the pictures, but figured the futon probably slept 2. We didn't worry about needing to climb to the loft to sleep. We thought we'd just use the futon since it was only one overnight. WAY to small, no sheets, and I had to climb to the loft to get pillows. Also, there were no directions on using the toilet or air conditioning (we figured those out). Wasn't very welcoming Most places we've stayed had a sheet with restaurant suggestions, things to do.

Rustic
All I can say is that the gas range wouldn’t light so I couldn’t eat or make coffee. Rustic feel. Just not for me.

Cozy little place!
This tiny house was a great place to rest my head while I stayed in VT with my friend and my dog. It was very clean when we got there and had everything we needed. It was simple and cute! It would definitely be helpful for future guests to have thorough instructions for using the toilet. But the host was very helpful with this when we reached out! We were also a little wary because the door would not properly lock.Thankfully it’s a safe (and beautiful) area. Be prepared for the cold shower if that’s something you’re not used to! I will say I felt great afterwards. Phone/wifi service was spotty which is honestly great for unplugging If that’s what you’re looking for. To some it up, it was definitely peaceful and cozy!

Wonderful cozy stay
It was a wonderful cozy stay. We really enjoyed the cute tiny home. The fact that there was a fridge and an Indoor compostable toilet and A/C was wonderful. :) Bradiann was wonderful and had even left us cool water in the fridge! Which was a nice touch on a super hot day!
