We checked in at 7pm, power went out 15 min after checking in. Don’t come back on until almost midnight. We had to eat dinner in the dark after driving 3 hours. Coffee looked like oil and had a very bad smell.

The stay was not terrible, but the bathroom in the hotel room I was in needs a deep clean. The carpet also need to be redone. Cleaning staff was not super approachable when I needed additional towels and the bed sheets were not put on fully and came off immediately upon laying down.

Only stayed 2 nights for a quick memorial from NY and enjoyed our stay! front desk was helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay here again. Only thing that went wrong was the elevator was out of service and the one working was slow.

The staff was terrific; made us feel welcome, particularly Andrew. The breakfast was ok: sausage, TASTY. Eggs; they probably never knew a mother. Other options were standard, say make-your-own waffles and sugary cereals are not for me, but my wife likes them. (though the waffle iron timer stopped working) 8-ounce whole milk was good for cereal, cups of yogurt are nice to have. I bring my own coffee (espresso) from home in a thermos for short stays like this, as I've never seen ANY hotel offer espresso for breakfast, so that's not an issue. They have a small gym, which I was able to use one morning, it was adequate but welcome. Overall, we were happy and will be back next time we travel back to the Raleigh-Durham area. Oh yeah, an important point -- we were happy with the room rates.

Older property but was clean and reasonably well maintained. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Room was comfortable and had all amenities required. Breakfast was basic with limited options. Staff did not assist with changes to trip citing that because booking was done through Expedia adjustments could not be made to the stay.

One safety issue, one inconvenience
My concerns were two… The first was the extreme slipperiness of the bathtub. It would be a hazard to anyone not not paying very close attention . The second was the difficulty in plugging in any electronic devices. The outlets were all loose and the plugs wouldn’t stay engaged. It wasn’t just one, but everyone of them in the room. Other than these two issues, it was fine. I was there for a week so both were issues for me.

I loved the bubbling water glass tank in the lobby. At night you can see the lights on the side change colors. I enjoyed that I was allowed to check out as early as I needed/wanted to. The staff are friendly and helpful.
