The room and bathroom were a good size, but they were also musty and humid. It was obvious that it used to be a smoking room. The air conditioning was unreliable. The bed was hard and not long enough (I'm only 5'8"). The bedding was too thin and the pillows were also awful. The microwave did not work. The water temperature and pressure in the shower were great, but the shower head was mounted off center. Our room was not serviced/restocked with coffee/shampoo. Of the two elevators the hotel has, one broke while we were there and remained broken. The other elevator was noisy and went to random floors. We chose this hotel in particular for the "indoor heated pool" listed in the amenities, but the heater was broken and the pool was unswimmably frigid for my 10 month old, whom we wanted to take swimming for the first time, since it was supposed to be temperature controlled. The breakfast sausages and coffee were the only enjoyable parts of our stay. Also, the fire alarm falsely went off at 4am the first night we were there, and stayed on long enough for us to leave our room and carry our sleeping infant down four flights of stairs for no reason. There is nothing that would convince me to stay here and not choose a different place to stay next time I choose to bring my family to Raleigh, NC. In fact, we likely won't choose this brand of hotels anywhere from now on. We're going home exhausted from lack of any decent rest.
