This is a unique family home that has been passed down for three generations. You will find historic pictures and information about the development of Sylvan Lake Falls as well as artwork from local artists and family members.
The Great Room, with views of the mountains, includes a living area, cozy fireplace, breakfast nook and a dining table with seating for 10. The set up allows a large crowd to enjoy games, puzzles, conversation or TV-watching all in the same space. The home is a ranch style with a split plan.
We recently restored the wood floors in two bedrooms, and purchased all new mattresses. The master bedroom with a King bed and bath is on one side and the Queen Bedroom and Twin Bedroom share a hall bath on the other side of the house. In addition, there is a brand new sleeper sofa in the living room for additional sleeping accommodations. There is ample parking in the driveway which doubles as a great play area for children to roam around and explore. In the side yard, there is a fire pit to enjoy on chilly nights. There are two additional buildings on the property- one is a carport with a laundry area, the other is my Grandfather's old shop. This home is part of the quiet Sylvan Lake Falls Community made up of year-round residents. As our guests, you will have access to the SLF community area which includes a gazebo and large open picnic area at the edge of the lake. Guests can enjoy all aspects of the property with the exception of a fenced-in tennis court that is unstable at the present time. In the carport, there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Chairs to use around the firepit are also stored in this carport.
You will find a notebook filled with suggestions for hikes and other activities in the area. There is a Walmart and grocery store in Clayton to purchase items needed for your visit. There is also a small grocery store in Dillard. We would encourage you to make your grocery run before coming to the cabin if possible. In season, Osage Farmers Market on 441 on your way to Dillard offers local produce as well as BBQ and sides that you can pick up for large gatherings. If you are enjoy cycling please message us and we can give you information about the access areas for cycling in Wolfork Valley.
