Hotel Maison du Fort is a wonderful place to stay! Great location (close to all the sites but on a quiet street) and a charming, historic building. The owner, Marielle, is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.
Perfect location and friendly staff. The room we stayed in was a bit small, but was very clean and cozy! The bathroom looks newly renovated and shower was great.
Maison du fort is a well managed and comfortable place to stay and enjoy beautiful Quebec City. The rooms are decorated beautifully, with comfortable beds, and updated bathrooms. Marielle is charming and very helpful. I will certainly return here again to stay.
It was absolutely fantastic! My mom and I decided at the very last minute to visit QC city for the long weekend and found this great hotel. The place is gorgeous!!! Beautiful room, very clean, incredible service from the owner - Marielle. It’s 2 blocks away from the famous boardwalk by Chateau Laurier and max 5 min walk to all the main streets. I will only stay there during my next visit in the beautiful city :)
Very well maintained building with an old fashioned style! The shower was really nice and there were all the amenities I expected other than a mini fridge (in my room at least). I wasn't expecting all the cat themed art but I liked it. The owner is really friendly.
This Manor in Old Quebec allows the visitor to truly enjoy visiting the old city. It is close to everything and you hostess truly makes you feel at home.
Maison du Fort was absolutely perfect. We arrived at the beginning of Carnaval and there happened to be a large snow storm that day. Marielle was very accommodating since our arrival time was delayed by 3 hours. Marielle was wonderful, she provided us with a map of the city at check-in and where we could find everything from the best restaurant streets, shopping, etc. and was wonderful to talk to. The rooms were well appointed, clean, and very comfortable. My husband and I both mentioned how we had never slept so well at a hotel before. The location of the hotel was perfect, we were able to park the car for all 4 days and walk everywhere. The parking garage was just around the corner. There is coffee, yogurt, and pastries in the morning. We are already planning our trip back during warmer weather and wouldn't look anywhere else. We can't wait to come back. Thanks Marielle for a wonderful stay!
We stayed 3 nights at Hôtel Maison du Fort in the heart of Vieux-Quebec. This is a cozy, nicely appointed small hotel that feels like a bed & breakfast! There could hardly be a better location - a short stroll to the Frontenac, or to shopping & dining on Rue St. Louis or Rue St. Jean. Near everything in Vieux-Quebec, and yet a peaceful, quiet and charming location.
Ms. Marielle is a welcoming host, a pleasure to speak with. Highly Recomended!!
This hotel was more like a B&B located in a unique old Quebec City area close to all the main historic sites within the walls of Old Quebec City. The staff were very friendly and accommodating which made our stay very enjoyable.
There were three flights of stair to the small room. The room was so small for a couple. The bathroom had a sewer smell continually coming from it. We had to keep the bathroom fan always running to keep the smell from being tolerable. The dresser drawers had to be yanked open -- it was too old and would not roll open easily. There is no parking on the premise -- when I called about it, the person said that there was in-and-out privileges for the parking but that was not the case. There was a $22 CAN Dollar per day cost for parking but it was not a $22 max per day. It was a $22 per park limit. That part was also confusing and the host/owner could not explain it in simple terms. The location was great -- it was very close to the Saint Louis Street, Fairmont hotel, and the main part of Quebec City tourist areas. It was in a safe area. The daily breakfast was okay -- it was a pot of coffee, hot water for tea, banana bread and some other kind of bread, yogurt, and some pastry (small)
