Like: location, old Quebec City Didn't like: the room images on internet make the room look spacious, comfortable but they are super tiny, no closets, you need to leave the luggage all over the place on the floor and you can blearily walk in the room. The sink has separated faucets for hot and cold water, you need a container to mix them (either hot-hot or cold-cold). All in all: the comfort of a1800 hotel at the price of 2024.

This hotel is in an excellent location! Right by Chateau Frontenac, shops, the cute old city, and the water! Also right next to the U.S. consulate. The staff was friendly and gave great recs for places to eat. They provided snacks for the room too, free of charge! The room I was in had an incredible view of the river and had great old building charm. Parking was easy and reasonably priced. 10/10 would stay again! One thing to note though, there is no elevator. I was on the fourth floor and while this is fine if you are good with stairs, if you are not I recommend asking what floor they have you on before booking.

The location of the hotel was amazing. Right on the promenade and just a short walk to the Fairmont Frontenac. The hotel is quaint and clean. I would recommend that you bring some very comfortable shoes if you end up on the top floor. Four stories but no elevator. If stairs are an issue for you, then specify that when booking.

We loved this hotel. Our room on the ground floor was large with comfortable beds. The bathroom showed its age a little but plenty of towels and hot water and a very efficient heater. The location at the end of, and overlooking, Dufferin terrace was superb and we had a great view of the St Lawrence river as we sat on our private balcony and took tea! The office staff were helpful and provided snacks in the decent sized fridge that were fine for breakfast. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I loved staying in this area. The hotel is looking over the river and Chateau Frontenac is a 2 minute walk. Excellent area with shops everywhere. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. There were also snacks in our room every day for us. I would highly recommend this hotel!

Although the hotel was old, the staff and owner were very courteous and friendly and very professional in their dealings with us. We will definitely stay at this hotel on our next visit. The location is the best !

The view across from the hotel was amazing when I arrived at the place was nothing like what I saw on the website . I had paid for two nights in advance but because of my shock and disappointment I called a Hilton Hotel near by and stayed there . A million dollar view Hotel with a one star rating at best .

After many stays at this property we are finding it getting tired with some work necessary (ie carpets stained, towels old,etc.) Location is unbeatable, staff very pleasant, parking a major plus and gift basket in fridge much appreciated)

Great location, worn interior, steep stairs
The hotel was in a wonderful location in the Old CIty, with good views of the St Lawrence river and all the cruise ship traffic. Our stay was trouble-free, the hosts/staff were friendly and helpful, and we were very happy to have had the next-door parking (which cost $25 per day). But the hotel was really showing its age pretty much everywhere, from drafty inoperable windows and worn rugs to bathroom fixtures from the 1960's.

The location is excellent The rooms and hallways are very worn out , Bathroom was not clean and nunnery cracks on the walks, yikes- wherever you look. Air conditioning was not working well we could not sleep . Carpets on the stairs are loose and I tripped few times. Would not recommend and would not stay again
