Listing should state that the road to the property is not paved and has a lot of ruts. We are glad we drove our SUV and not our sedan, and that there was no snow/rain to deal with. You need to get a good running start to pull into the “driveway”, or you’ll get stuck in the gravel. We weren’t provided the code to the front door-had to ask for it. Lock is very touchy. Owner had to tell us how to get in. Fix the lock! Umpteen light switches that aren’t labeled, and most do nothing. Tacky “mood lighting” in the bedroom doesn’t really work, and only goes about 3/4 of the way across the wall. So you have to rely on bright white lightbulbs that are in no way relaxing. Place looks nice on line, but we didn’t feel comfortable there. Rickety handrails on the front porch. Animals tipped over a garbage can in the driveway overnight. You’d think owner, who lives next door, would be watching over the place. But when garbage wasn’t picked up by 4pm, we had to ask for it to be removed. Not good. There’s a fire pit out back, but no propane. Astroturf is also tacky, in my opinion. Toilet is miniature in size, to the point of being laughable. Glad we didn’t pay any more than we did for a two-night stay. We wish we’d stayed at a hotel, even if it would have cost more.
