State 48 had a great feel of staying in a cabin! I would have liked the outdoor furniture to be a little more comfortable.

Quiet, Cozy, Relaxing Cabin Getaway
Our stay was exactly what we were looking for: a quiet, cozy cabin in the pines and mountains of Prescott National Forest. We had relaxing, slow mornings drinking coffee out on the patio watching for wildlife and listening to the birds. We cozied up on the couch and had great family time. The property was very clean, welcoming, and fully stocked with everything we needed! It was also very close to Prescott - a quick 10 or 15 minute drive! We would definitely book to stay here again. Highly recommend!

Easily accessible. Located in a neighborhood; there are other homes next to the property, but we had no issues with noise. Clean and comfortable.

Beautiful Cabin in the Woods
I booked this accommodation last minute as me and Friends decided to get out of the hot weather in Phoenix. The whole process was very smooth working with Greg and the cabin was very well-kept and clean. We enjoyed our entire time at the cabin and patio. We had a great time in Prescott and would definitely stay again.

Perfect weekend getaway in the pines!
Gorgeous cabin with the real cabin feel and modern amenities. The neighborhood is clean and quiet. Cabin was well cleaned and stocked. The deck was the perfect spot to cook and hang out all night plyaing games and chatting. We saw a skunk, an adorbale javelina, lizards, squirrels and the topper, a young doe grazing on our last day. The property backs the forest where you'll find some nice trails. The owners thought of everthing from the coolest light switches to many board games and tiny mini packs of makeup remover pads if needed. We are already planning a return trip in a couple months! Thank you State 48 retreat!

Love This Place!
This is one of our go-to cabin rentals in Prescott. We live in Gilbert but Prescott is our out of town spot for a quick getaway. The cabin is peaceful, clean, cozy, stocked with whatever you need. Not too far from town, super relaxing to be there. The cabin is clean and rustic without feeling run down or "old". Greg and Tawnya have superb communication and are quick to answer any questions. Always a wonderful stay. The only think I hope they do is one day invest in a gas powered fire table, that would be the cherry on top for a relaxing night on the deck!

“Heat Escape!”
It was a wonderful escape from the 118 degree temperatures at home. Even though it was 90 here, it felt cool to us. The evenings were cool. The cabin was just perfect. Sitting on the deck reading a good book, drinking coffee, & watching the wildlife(deer, turkeys & other birds) was very relaxing and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again.

Get away close to everything
We loved the location. It is like 10 mins from downtown Prescott, and you are in the forest. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was nice and the grill on the porch worked beautifully. Only thing missing was shampoo and soap for the shower. But everything else was there. We would love to get away again.

Good Times on Pyrite
I hand wrote a lengthy dissertation and left it on the counter so refer to it for specifics and you are welcome to post the message online with first name only at end. Great place for family; the deck is a delight. I bought a couple of items to enhance a stay of others: a rigid cutting board and a scrub sponge. Overall, it was a delightful stay for all of us in my immediate family. The incredible wildlife we saw included wild turkeys, deer, woodpeckers, humming birds, chipmunks and squirrels being harassed by the woodpeckers! If I ever wished to own a cabin, one like this one is what I'd love!!
