This is an absolute gem on the Amalfi coast! The restaurant downstairs had an amazing view and homemade delicious food. The beach was a quick 15 minute walk. The staff was incredibly kind and personable, they even sent a doctor to our room since my friend was sick. They treat you like family here. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I meet!

A Gem.
One of the most beautiful hotels my partner and I have stayed in. The view from our room was just as beautiful as the pictures. The family who run the hotel are kind and helpful. The bed rooms clean and comfortable; with excellent room services. The location is perfect if you enjoy a quiet spot, several busses just a short walk and small shops. We also dined at the hotel restaurant several times which was enjoyable and at a reasonable cost for the area. Breakfast was nice tho our only feed back would be more fresh foods; local fruits, juices, homemade bread etc… A 10min walk to one of the nicest beaches on the coast with chair rental at €20 a day. Overall a beautiful place to stay and would highly recommend to friends or family.

This hotel was everything and more I could ask, from the attendants to the cleanness of the room. This was the best affordable opción in the coast. When you arrive the gentleman at the front desk was kind and helpful, the room was perfect and very clean and let me tell you about the FOOD of this place, it was AMAZINGGG, very fresh and home made also a great price . If you’re thinking about choosing this place do yourself a favor. Breakfast, WiFi, parking and on the main road without climbing stairs. For me this was a five stars hotel. Thank you for your Amazing hospitality ❤️

Stay here and not Positano!
Loved this gem! We had a gorgeous balcony looking overlooking the water. We loved staying here versus Positano as it was way more peaceful and quiet. Buses were easy to get up and down the coast from here. The family who runs the place was incredibly hospitable. Room was very very clean, bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again. Restaurant for dinner was great too with a nice view.

Amazing week! Our room was perfect, very clean with a great view - even USB plugs for charging. The restaurant was wonderful with so many different choices for breakfast and dinner. The hosts were so amazing and gracious. And Open Gate is ideally located on the bus line or with ample parking if you drive. We will be back!

We were so impressed with Hotel Open Gate! The staff are very welcoming and the rooms are great. We stayed on the second floor and had a magnificent balcony overlooking the water. The location is a perfect spot to day trip to other towns along the Amalfi coast and there is transportation right in front of the hotel. The restaurant has a great terrace on the water as well. Great spot if you are looking to be seaside but also explore.

Me and hubby had a great stay at open gate. The hotel is beautiful and clean. The views are incredible! Pasquale was great. He helped us book a Vespa and let us know of bus routin the area. You won’t be disappointed. Do have dinner at the their restaurant too. Excellent food.

Our room and view of the ocean was breathtaking! Our stay was comfortable and safe. It's a beautiful B&B!!!! We enjoyed our breakfast every morning. We loved that we can walk down to the beach and take a water taxi anywhere! Great staff, so hardworking!

Really enjoyed the stay. The location is great, the place has a private parking, walking distance to the beach and small area shops. The room very clean and in excellent condition, the view is amazing, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast and we also had a really tasty dinner in the hotel restaurant. The hotel is family owned and they are so helpful and accommodating and are there all the time as they live upstairs. The hotel is in a quiet area, away from the craziness of Positano. The hotel sits right on the main road, so you do have road noise since all the cars, buses and vespas travel this one road. Our room had a huge balcony with an amazing view of the water and coast. You must walk a little way (5-7 min) in either direction to a bus stop to take the bus to other towns, like Positano or Amalfi. Or you can call for a taxi. They have a restaurant on-site with a full menu and gelato too!!! Breakfast was extensive with lots of options. You can sit on the outside, covered patio or there is a nice patio across the street on the water side you can enjoy as well. There is air conditioning -- thank goodness. We stayed in October and still needed it a bit but also opened the doors to our balcony for fresh air. There are no elevators so we had to walk two flights to our room. This is very common in this area. The location is convenient if you plan on going to the other coast towns during your visit. We did Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. You must also make sure to visit the marina area called Praia not far from the hotel and takes you down by the water via staircase. You will find a whole world down there of restaurants in the rocks, like La Pirata, that we highly recommend. You cannot miss doing this! I highly recommend Open Gate. And the price is very fair as well. Ciao!

The location is great, just a 15 minutes bus ride to Positano and a walk to the beach. We enjoyed the balcony facing the ocean, great views! The hotel staff is super friendly and attentive. The included breakfasts were very good and dinners as well.
