It was close to everything and basically I was able to park the car and forget about it as I ended up walking everywhere about the village.

Beautiful historic property. Our room was a little disappointing in that the bathroom needs to be updated to include double sinks, makeup mirror and better quality towels. There was not a guard rail in the tub/shower. We had to ask for luggage racks since there ws nowhere to put our luggage except on the floor. We enjoyed one dinner here but were disappointed in the food and especially the service. Rhinebeck is full of excellant restaurants so we were disappointed in the hotel restaurant. The entire property, although beautiful is in need of some "deferred maintenance."
Charming historic hotel and inn in beautiful Hudson River Valley! Rooms are comfy, The Tavern where George Washington was known to frequent is awesome! Staff were absolutely fantastic and Nansi at the Front Desk, went out of her way to accommodate us when an emergency happened. Great place to explore!
Don’t be fooled by the photo of a lovely old building that suggests that is the Delamater Inn. The rooms are actually in modern facilities behind the establishment. We had a WALK UP to second floor with no one to help with luggage. The decor was a cheap construction The bathroom was tiny and cheaply constructed. Breakfast was at the Beekman Arms a couple blocks away. And by breakfast time, no one had shoveled the walk
I booked the Demeter Inn but they moved me to the Beekman because the internet was out. It was explained to me that staff should have called to advise me of the switch. They did not. My room at the Beekman was directly above the front desk and I could literally hear every word from below. The worst part though was the talking crossing light across the street. It cyclically speaks 3x and then beep beep beeps. Absolute torture and didn't sleep a wink. Meditation didn't help. Rumbling traffic at least covered up the tormenting sound. Never thought I'd pray for traffic.
Wonderful historic property. I was provided the opportunity to change my booking to a pet friendly room last minute. I found the front desk staff not extremely hospitable. They were efficient but not welcoming. The sprawling grounds and historic buildings were all well kept. Located right in the center of the business district. Shopping was a short walk away.

It would have been nice to know that checkin was in another building.
