Hostel staff is friendly. Super location near metro stops Trindade. There have separate man and female toilets, showers also. Bed is comfortable and curtains make privacy. cleaning is very well i love to staying in this hostel. I will come again ❤❤
Economical, splendid, and in a very good location.
It was was very walkable, close to attractions, theatre, shops, restaurants, cafes, grocery store, laundromats, train station, and busses. It had kitchen with microwave, oven, and 3 refrigerators. Specially there is a Garden with plenty of siting arrangements which shouldn't miss at all.Staff was very kind and friendly. It felt very comfortable.
This is a BARE BONES hostel. It’s in a great location, and has access to great public transit. The staff was also very friendly. It also felt acceptably clean.
having said that...
There are two types of hostels.
1) The travelers hostel, with good common areas, facilities, and an environment that facilitates travel and conversation…maybe cook a meal and meet people.
2) weekend party college kid stag party get drunk bare bones and low cost as a priority hostel.
This is the 2nd. And I’m not here to complain about noise, because I get that thats part of the experience. It seemed like the hostel was doubling as a homeless encampment. We had several “multi-persons-in-one-bunk” situations in my room. It felt like a bit of a free for all. Additionally, facilities are dated and common hostel things were missing. Bad locks on bathroom doors. Showers with no shelves or places to put toiletries. Really poor public spaces, poor wifi (despite ads saying it was fast) below average kitchen facilities (no pots, pans. Etc) rotten food in the fridges. The beds had curtains, but no shelf space… weird. No top sheet. No towels… you get the idea.
If you’re 19 and you’re looking to blow it out and get drunk on the town, and just need a crash pad…. Perfect for you. Everyone else, probably not.
There are a ton of hostels in Oporto… spend the extra few dinero, and stay somewhere else
