Great hotel, 2nd time we have stayed. Only issue we have is the lack of staff working in the lobby bar, we waited 30 minutes for 6 drinks to arrive, 2 of those were cocktails but the rest were just beer & wine, one guy working alone very very slowly ! The staff working in the breakfast cafe are fast, efficient & friendly so clearly it is possible to get properly trained staff or maybe move a couple to run the bar later in the day ?!

The hotel was lovely and in a quiet area in Gaia that was in close distance to public transport to get around Porto. The staff were always super helpful and the hotel/pool area was very well kept and clean.

Great stay on the outskirts of the busy district! Very steep down hill to town, fine for me but tricker for my older parents. Taxis are so cheap though so easy enough to get about! Service was really slow in the hotel. Very friendly, but very slow!

My experience was far from 5-star for the following reasons: 1. There was no desk to work. 2. There was no place or shelving to place any belonging on, within the room. 3. The TV was on wheels. 4. The only chair in the room was in the room lobby. 5. There were two defaults in the bedroom, the shower head was loose and there was loose metal covering on the handle, please see below photos 6. And top it off I cut my thumb in the swimming pool on one of the jacuzzi loungers Overall the hotel was simply not up to scratch. It’s a shame as I had stayed in another Hilton Hotel (Hilton Porto Gaia) in the previous 3 days which was fantastic.

Beautiful hotel and grounds
Boeira Gardens is a beautiful hotel. Would definitely recommend it. For service I deducted a star because the service was very slow in hotel bar, only one person servicing and there were conference guests in numbers. The service at the front desk was excellent. All the staff were super friendly and efficient. There isn't much in the surrounding area but it's only a 10 minute walk to the Metro which will bring you over to the tourist areas.

Wonderful hotel experience. Great breakfast. Lunch menu same as dinner. However room was strange for person with weak leg and cane. Walk in shower needs shower stool and vertical bar outside to safely get in and out. Space for bench in disconnected bath which woul allow opening luggage in bath or using to dry legs after shower. Entry has single chair with reading light. Bedroom closed not handicapped friendly.

Beautiful hotel in Gaia
This is a beautiful property with beautiful grounds. The rooms are spacious and very clean, bed and pillows are super comfortable. The staff is very attentive, but I think the property was understaffed. The hotel is located in Gaia, not Porto, but it's close enough to take a quick and affordable Uber ride - around 8 to 10 Euro. It is also very close to the train station, if you want to get to Lisbon, Aveiro. etc.
