This is not a 5 star hotel. The pictures and description are very misleading. It may have been 5 star 25 years ago - now it is tired uncared for and drab. If you book - assume you are booking a 3 star hotel with a large pool. Always book the sea view room - as what they do not show or tell you is that the city view rooms are all in 1960s dark wood - which makes the rooms very dark and very depressive - we asked to move and was moved to a slight larger lighter room - still with dark wood. A/C in the rooms is not strong - so the rooms are cool enough but never cold - so when you dress or have a shower you will sweat. Also beware they allow dogs - under 10kg - you know the ones that dark all the time! The day we arrived we wanted an afternoon nap - but yapping dog prevented this - after complaining many times including to expedia they moved the guests who had just left their dog in the room on its own. Also they have a chained parrot by the pool - again not good if any guests are anti animal cruelty. So if you can get a cheap room and assume it is a 3 star 1970s hotel you will be fine

Great hotel
Good: the staff were very nice and helpful and spoke English incredibly well. The breakfast buffet was lovely. The location was good as located near a supermarket and many nice restaurants (recommend restaurant F) and you get a nice view of the beach in the pool area. Room looked exactly how it looked in the photo. Rooms were cleaned well everyday. You also get free access to loungers on the beach. There are plenty of seats round the pool and beach with umbrellas. Bad: the room smelt a bit old but this wasn’t an awful smell you just kinda smelt it as you walked into your room and then it would go away. Extra: bring a flannel, you get provided with beach/ pool towels and wash towels but no flannels .

There was a bad smell that kept coming up in our bathroom. Complained about it numerous times nothing was done about it. The only response I got was I let maintenance know. Sorry this went on for two or three days besides that it was great.

This hotel is a bust .. my vip access got us a room in the basement terrible lighting, beds uncomfortable, broken handle to our patio..no elevator on our side of the hotel so that was fun with all our luggage , parking is 3 blocks away, staff is not friendly, even at check out - no pleasantries, same as check in . breakfast buffet is the worst I’ve had in Europe . So many more examples of sub par customer service including room service

Excellent property right on the beach. The rooms are located below the ground level and to get there, there isn’t direct access by elevators, you must use at least one set of stairs. That makes transporting luggage very difficult. Great pools and breakfast and lunch options, we didn’t dine there.

We had a beach front room which was nice but getting to the rooms was odd. You had to walk to get to stairs then walk more in hallways then get into an elevator or more stairs in a different location to get to your room. We got a little lost each time getting to our room or to find lobby. It also made it difficult to get your suitcases to your room or out. The staff helped me of course. I had an early flight so I had to have them take my suitcases to the front the night before as not to have delays. I also had a VIP status which did not show in there system. I showed the front desk my Expedia reservation on the 2nd day and they have had a nice basket of fruit and a bottle of wine and water for us. We didn’t have enough time to open the bottle of wine and ended up leaving it for the cleaning staff and tip so at least it was put to good use. The hotel is just a little old but it was clean.
