Upon arrival inspection, I found an insect per the photo in the bedding which I showed to front Desk, who advised “This is The woods bugs happen.” Well, kinda. I didn’t consider Chesterton Indiana to be exactly the middle of the wilderness. I concurred with front Desk that it was not a bedbug, though I didn’t know what kind of insect it was. It was not A butterfly And I didn’t want to sleep In that bed. They changed my room, though They could’ve been nicer about it.
Indoor and outdoor public areas where attractive and well-maintained. The breakfast room was cute and the TV room at the end of each of the hallways was quite lovely per the second photo, though I never could get the TV to operate.
My room, however, was very worn out: The furniture, dinged and dented, and some wallpaper peeling. But everything worked and I appreciated the large refrigerator.
Front desk Never advised us that the hotel offered No daily maid service. One roll of toilet paper and four towels was not going to last two people for four days and Supplies could be indeed difficult to obtain from housekeeping. My room had an envelope requesting tips for housekeeping which I declined to do in view of all the challenges.
