During my recent day trip to the Indiana Dunes, I decided to stay at the Quality Inn, believing I had booked a room with Comfort Inn. My disappointment was immediate upon arrival.
First, if you book through a third-party site, be prepared for a $50 incidental fee. While this might not be a big issue at a well-equipped hotel, it feels like an insult here. The hotel fails to provide basic amenities you'd expect, like extra towels or a functional AC. The entire place reeked of an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of decay, which made my stay unbearable.
Accessibility is another major issue. There is no elevator to the second floor, so if you need a handicap-accessible room with a king bed, avoid this place. The grumpy and intimidating older staff further ruined my experience. Imagine the characters from "Grumpy Old Men" replaced with equally surly women, and you'll get the picture.
Overall, my stay at Quality Inn was horrendous. I will never book here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere for accommodation.
