We loved this historic hotel located right in the heart of Port Townsend. We stayed for two nights in one of the loft rooms which was a nice modern room with a kitchenette. Everything was clean and we had all the items we needed on site. Check-in was easy and the front desk employee was very friendly and clearly loves the hotel. We had fun walking through and sitting in the Victorian-style sitting areas and checking out all the fun historic features of the building.
We appreciated the free parking lot out back, but one night when it was full we still easily found a spot to park right outside. Port Townsend gets pretty quiet after 5pm, but there are still plenty of restaurants near by. We ate out one night and used the kitchen to warm up some food we grabbed at one of the nearby grocery stores another night.
This was a great base for sightseeing and was also very comfortable for evenings relaxing in our room. We would happily stay here again any time. Can't recommend highly enough!
(Most rooms do not have A/C, which the hotel did send us an email about before our visit to make sure we knew what to expect. There were a number of fans in the room. Our loft suite was on the back of the building with direct afternoon sunshine, so it would have been pretty warm even with the fans in the room, so we were very pleasantly surprised to find a portable AC unit in the room. I do not think these are in all of the rooms though, as the water-facing rooms would be much cooler).
