Roy also gave great recommendations on activities to do and local restaurants to try, everything was a hit, no miss. Their dog Draco is super friendly to welcome you everyday. "Carlos was the most attentive host you could ask for. One evening, he spent about an hour talking with us about the history of Costa Rica. He's also a terrific cook and the breakfasts he made were the best we had over our 2-week trip. The rooms in the main house are very nice but a little funky. There's a skylight above the bed in one of them which meant waking up with the sun. And some rooms are directly off the lobby area, so not very separated, but the place is kept immaculately clean and it's in an excellent location for getting around Monteverde. Highly recommended. "

"Great spot to hang out for a day and stay the night. We got to see a lot of wildlife around the property and an incredible view of the lake. The beer was cold and delicious with lots of options for everyone. Dinner and breakfast at the onsite restaurant were super tasty and very filling. The staff was very friendly and approachable, especially our bartender which elevated our stay and made us feel very welcome."
