I really enjoyed being able to meet Madeira. Loved to stay at Ponta Do Sol. From sunrise to sunset everything is beautiful. Such a breathtaking island.

L’emplacement de cet hôtel est fantastique juste devant la plage et tout près de la petite rue piétonnière où on y retrouve de très beaux et bons restaurants. Le déjeuner inclut dans le forfait est généreux et délicieux. La chambre était propre et spacieuse avec deux grands lits (queen). Le stationnement sous-terrain à même l’hôtel est hyper pratique.

The location next to the ocean is a bonus. Listening to the waves in the morning and evening brings great serenity. The staff is also very friendly. There was one woman in particular that made it even more enjoyable. I wished I had asked for her name. She helped me picked out some guided tours for the time I was there. She even wished me a happy birthday before I left. It’s those little thoughtful moments that makes it memorable. When I return, I will definitely go back there.

Fabulous Ponta Da Sol.
We stayed here for the first 3 nights of our stay in Madeira, lovely hotel with great views out to the Atlantic Ocean. Hotel is situated on the promenade of Ponta Da Sol and takes up about 2/3rds of it. It’s been built in a sympathetic style to fit in with the local area. Breakfast was included in our room rate and we found a good selection of hot and cold food. We never used the indoor pool but did you’d the interface on the 4th floor on a couple of occasions. Some nice places to eat just around the corner on ‘Bar Street’, the Beach Bar is also a nice place to hang about during the day and early evening. Best sunset on the island and you don’t even need to leave your room. Perfect base to explore the island.

The view from the hotel is nice and there are some great restarants behind the hotel. My complaint is that my room felt dirty...it had been cleaned but felt greasy and my skin was so itchy from the bed...I am not sure what was causing it but it was noticably different with this hotel vs the others I stayed at on Madeira island. Even though the view was nice, i looked forward to leaving the hotel from right after check in to the time i left.

Hotel is excellent. Fantastic location on the beach. All rooms are large, modern, clean, with beautiful sea views. Indoor pool, sauna and Turkish baths are a nice touch. Breakfast is excellent but they need a second coffee machine to reduce the coffee line up. Great service and the buffet dinners are worth the extra money.
