Great home for our ATV trip
This is a great house to rent if you are looking to ride the Spearhead Pocahontas trail or the Pocahontas Hatfield-McCoy trail. The Spearhead trail is right across the road and the Pocahontas HM connector is about a 10-15 min ride away on pavement. The home itself was very clean & roomy and had everything we needed. The garage was super convenient for fixing machines and just for hanging out in. Backyard has a nice firepit to sit around as well. The area is nice and the kids loved being able to go the park that was a short distance away to play basketball. Dollar General just down the road was convenient as well. We loved the food & entertainment at the restaurant at the Pocahontas Exhibition Coal Mine. The mine itself was closed but the restaurant was open. If we were to come back to this area, we would most certainly rent this house again.

Wonderful House
We had a group of 8 with 3 trailers and 4 sxs. We all had plenty of room and the garage came in handy for some unexpected repairs. The house was perfect for our group and we enjoyed looking at and reading about the history of the town that was posted on the walls. Ben was excellent to communicate with and he made sure that our stay was perfect. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay close to the trails!

Great Place
We had a great time at the Pocahontas cottage and worked perfect for our group of 7! The location was great, close to the trails. We had no issues parking 3 trailers. The cottage was stocked with all necessities and had plenty to offer the guest. However, the pictures online did not do justice for the house. The owners had been doing renovations and it is super cute. My sister is in a wheelchair and was very accessible/roomy for her to get around. The host was very friendly and was prompt to answer all question we had. We definitely recommend staying here.

Pochontas Retreat
I am super happy with the house it couldn't have been a better fit for our family and the activities we wanted to do. We stayed five nights and I cooked all the meals. The kitchen is well stocked and the owners weren't stingy with necessary supplies like toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags. Huge thank you to the owners for having the extras (soap, dish soap, q-tips, kleenexs, shampoo/conditioner, games, puzzles, extra blankets, etc.). We will stay here again because of the thoughtfulness. Buy food/supplies before coming into Pochontas there is only a Dollar General in town (good for emergency items like milk). We were approx 15 minutes from the Hatfield and McCoy Pochontas Trailhead and we loved the four days spent trail riding. The other Hatfield and McCoy Trails are also readily accessible through Pochontas. You won't regret staying at this get away.
