Property was easy to find. Its an older hotel but the room was spacious. unfortunately the elevator wasnt working and the ac in my room did not work very well so it was a bit warm.

The room was very musty and damp. The air conditioner was very loud and rattling. We had to request a different room about an hour after arriving because it was so bad. The next room was a little better with the smell and the ac was quieter but I think we will choose a different place to stay the next time.

The place was overbooked so we were “upgraded” to a suite which was really a downgrade. 2 big kids sleeping on a nasty pullout sofa was aweful. The room was dirty and the pillows were so small and thin. We asked for more so we could double them up, but they said they didn’t have any more. How does a hotel not have more pillows.ugh….it was not a pleasant stay at all. Thankfully we were only there about 10 hours.

Overall unhappy with my stay. Room smelled like it had been flooded. Beds were okay but only two pillows given. When asked for more was not allowed extra. Asked for extra towels and were unable to receive them. Breakfast was okay. Stayed 4 years ago at this same hotel and was very pleased, but will not be staying again when back in the area.

There was blood on our sheets. My husband went downstairs and let them know. All they did was apologize and give him a new blanket. We had no other choice but to stay the night since we live so far away.

Nice, cool room.
The room was clean. The beds were a little on the extra firm side & the pillows were flat. We checked to see if we could get one extra, & they apologetically said they were out. Otherwise, absolutely great stay. Just a heads up, if you stay in the Summer, Pocahontas has a LOT of hungry mosquitoes, so keeping the a/c low helps.... and the room's unit worked perfectly for that.

We've stayed at this hotel many times it's my wife's hometown. It's always been clean and friendly; it has been several years since we stayed there though. We were very disappointed in the stay. I've had friendlier greeting at a police station. The hotel was far from full, but they put us in a room next to the highway and we listened to semi-trucks jake brake all night, the A/C was cool it wasn't taking any humidity out of the air so everything felt damp including the floors. The coffee pot was in the bathroom and the coffee and tea packet was wet. The bathroom needed a good cleaning my wife said there were hairs in the tub that were not ours. The breakfast has never been anything to write home about but it was bare bones to say the least. I was thinking maybe the reason we got such a bad room was because we booked through Expedia at a lower rate at the time.
