Great location to enjoy Philadelphia
I went to this hotel as part of a trip to see the Eagles’ season opener on September 16 (they lost :( ). The hotel is conveniently located downtown and close to various attractions, shops and restaurants. Also only 2 blocks from the Broad Street Subway (VERY convenient to go to the football stadium!). Polite staff, parking available at the hotel ($39/day), breakfast is included. The only negative side is that the hotel feels somewhat old; the old brown carpets and in the hallways and in the rooms should be replaced. The premises and rooms are clean nonetheless.

When you stay at a Holiday Inn you're not getting the Ritz so don't expect it. What we got was a very clean hotel, rooms were comfortable and fine and the bed was lovely. What i did like was the room had a choice of pillows, soft or firm where most hotel rooms will just lump you with whatever they want. The hotel was convenient as it was a short 8 min walk to the nearest subway station. There were bars and restaurants literlly at your doorstep which was great. Self parking was fine with the public car park next door that you can go in and out of with your room key. The free breakfast was the standard fare at Holiday Inns and was absolutely fine. Philly was an amazing city which we will come back and see again and we will stay at the Holiday Inn Express. What i want most from a hotel is a clean, comfortable stay in a safe area and this hotel ticked all 3 boxes.

Husband and I went to Philly on a Friday night to see a concert, and stayed Saturday to hit some shops. Great hotel. Staff was great. Initially we parked in the wrong garage.
