The fire alarm went off at midnight and we were evacuated. No explanation was ever given. We were told to avoid certain times for breakfast due to two big bus tours. When we arrived extra early to eat we weren't allowed to sit at the tables for the apparently superior guests on the buses. The floor in our room had soft spots where it didn't feel safe to walk. You could see the dips in the carpet between the floor joists. The property was established in 1699, which was interesting.
Absolutely lovely place, staff were friendly and helpful, food was good.
Room was big, could have done with a bigger TV as I had to squint to see it from the bed.
The hotel was good for the price. Staff were friendly and facilities were good, if a little dated.
We had a room which faced on to a busy road, and traffic noise etc. was a downer for us.
If I return to this hotel, I would make sure I had a room that wasn’t facing the road.
I Know Perthj well and love the history attached to the "Sally" Great service and value for money.l Friendly staff and convenient for Perth's amenities.
Hotel room was clean and simple. Not real big, but had everything we needed for a night's stay. Although neighborhood looked a bit sketchy, we had no problems. Plenty of restaurants and bars in walking area. Good price
You can't beat the quality for the price, and the building itself is older than the USA. The experience is unforgettable and the surrounding area is nice for quick shopping and walks. Dundee is 30 minutes away by car if you wanted to go for a night out.

Decent staff and average dated hotel but ok value for money.
Good location for shops and restaurants. Room was small but very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Have been many times and always found staff very friendly.
I enjoyed my stay at the Salutation Hotel as was in city centre if you wanted to go alt and about, which i did not..My room was clean and tidy and in a quite area..
I had a meal in the bar area. Food was good, choice on menu was had a good choice and food tasty, service was good,
