About this property

Pretty Georgian farmhouse in peaceful village location near the sea.

Pretty detached cottage dating from the 1800's. It has a pretty and enclosed south facing garden with a sunny aspect which is great for barbecues or just sunbathing in peaceful surroundings. There are stunning views overlooking Mount's Bay and on towards the Lizard. The interior is tastefully furnished with plenty of original artwork on the walls.

There are two main reception rooms - one with a great wood-burner for winter evenings. The kitchen is fully fitted with ample crockery and cooking equipment. Upstairs there is a bathroom with toilet, sink, bath and shower facilities, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a small single room. All the bedrooms enjoy spectacular views. A well-behaved dog is welcome. A travel cot is available on request. For more guest comments from the visitors book and emails received by me after visitors have had their holiday go to 'about the owner'

Please note: Sancreed has no shop or pub . The nearest would be in Newlyn or St Just c 3 miles away.
Although the front garden and driveway are level, there are some fairly steep steps up to the lawned garden.

we accept bookings for 7 days , or 14 days or 21 days
There's a private patio. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. The bathroom has a shower/tub combination and a hair dryer. Conveniences include a microwave and an electric kettle.
Take in the views from a garden and make use of amenities such as barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Beautiful countryside cottage
Lovely cottage in a quiet Cornish village. Beautiful, peaceful garden. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you could need during your stay. Close to Penzance, Newlyn & Mousehole. Lots of places to visit & plenty of places to eat, just a short car drive away. Nice walks in the vicinity of the cottage. Will definitely stay in this cottage again.

Relaxing Break
Had a great stay at Newington Farmhouse - property was very quiet and we seldom saw another car. Garden was lovely to sit in. Everyone had a fabulous break and the host was very accommodating.

An oasis of peace and countryside charm
This property is just wonderful - it's cosy, so comfortable, beautifully decorated and with all conveniences. The garden is lush and secluded, and was also secure for our wee dog. The views to the sea in the distance were fabulous, and the abundance of wildflowers around us was lovely. The house is situated in the countryside - BUT - is incredibly close to all the best places on the Lands End penninsula: Sennen and Porthcuno beaches, Mousehole, Penzance, St Michael's Mount, St Just - all just a very close drive (less than 20 minutes). You can enjoy these places and then get away from it all to the farmhouse. My only downside was having to come home to London afterwards! Can't sing enough praises - enjoy yourselves here!

Amazing!
The Farmhouse is absolutely stunning, it had everything we needed for a more than comfortable stay. Beautiful surroundings and we wish we had stayed for 2 weeks as there was so much to do! We visited Mousehole, St Michaels Mount, Penzance, Trewidden Gardens, Sennen Cove, Lands End, Marazion but there was so much more to still see and you can easily go into a second week of trips. I highly recommend you stay at this property, not only a home from home but it was one of the best holidays I have had in ages. Thank you Lindsay for a A++ accommodation, I am sure we will return one day!

Cosy pleasant cottage with lovely garden
Great cottage and garden. Well equipped. Internet good. Pity local walks were overgrown but hopefully local council will sort that out. Needed to use the car a lot to get anywhere. Highlight was The Minack Theatre which is nearby. Weather unfortunately mixed but can imagine if good would be wonderful.

Peaceful holiday cottage in perfect location
We had a lovely stay at Newington Farmhouse in April - the cottage is well equipped and comfortable, and in a perfect location. The majority of the popular local attractions are less than 20 minutes away. The surroundings were very peaceful, and full of wildlife. One point worth noting is that there are a few steps and walls in the garden which may be less suitable for very young children, but this is a minor point. Overall, very happy thanks!

Very cosy cottage
Amazing views, bed very comfortable , excellent shower, well equipped kitchen. Our springer spaniel is normally anxious when we first take her somewhere new but she was settled from the beginning which says it all. Lovely ambience.

A wonderful stay in Cornwall
We had a lovely time at Newington Farmhouse. The cottage was cosy, comfortable and well-equipped. The garden was a delight, with great views across the fields to Mounts Bay. Sancreed itself is a fascinating village; as well as some lovely local walks it is also an ideal base for exploring the West Penwith area of Cornwall with its stunning coastline and hidden coves. Our two cats enjoyed staying at the cottage as well. We would definitely choose Newington Farmhouse again.

Excellent stay at lovely cottage
We stayed in this cottage for a week in October, from the moment you walked into the porch area it had a homely feeling, the cottage as a whole was very clean and had everything we needed for an easy relaxing stay. The garden was brilliant for our boys and well maintained. Location wise is set on the edge of the village in a very quiet location but within easy reach of the local bigger towns. Would definetly recommend staying here for a peaceful country Cornish break

Comfortable & quiet
The cottage was perfect for our needs. Rural location, very quiet and great views across farmland to the sea. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, private garden & good sized lounge/diner. Location was ideal for the beaches at Sennen and Portcurno, walks around Cape Cornwall, Penlee, Lamorna and only 10 mins drive from supermarkets in Penzance. We’ve already booked again for 2021.

Peaceful getaway
With the stresses and strains of Covid 19, Newington Farm was a haven of peace and tranquillity. Everything about the booking and arrival went very well.. The cottage has a very peaceful air about it. Everything needed was provided. One day we spent most of the time relaxing in the garden and you don’t need to drive very far to find something interesting or different to do. The beaches are excellent and the weather was always warm, even when the sun didn’t shine. We spent one day in hard hats at Geevor Tin Mine which was fascinating. We went mountain biking on bridle trails around the area - great fun. We visited the art gallery and fishing port at Newlyn and drove up to Minack Open Air Theatre, which, not surprisingly, was sold out and also an afternoon at Trewidden Gardens. All within minutes of the farmhouse. We wished we’d booked a fortnight. We would definitely recommend staying here.
