The owner has transformed this former motel into a comfortable place to stay. The bed was so comfortable. The kitchen is fully functional to prepare a meal. It is not on a quiet street. You use a code to gain access to the beach which is private property. We enjoyed our stay.

This little motel was a gem, loved our stay. It was so clean and the Nordic theme was a nice change from the usual hotel decor of most places. The bed was so comfy and there was great water pressure. The lady at the front desk was super friendly and very helpful. I will most definitely stay there again. The little touches like the chocolates and the pillow spray put it over the top, well done!

Newly renovated room was very nice. Added benefit of a partial kitchenette with plates/cups/bowls etc fridge/microwave/kettle as well as a Kuerig. My only suggestion would be some type of tray to use on the bed to eat on, as there is not (no room) a table to eat at. Will stay again for sure, but will be sure to check that there is no construction going on beside the motel next time, as the sound was pretty disturbing. No fault to the property though!

What a pleasant surprise! I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, the rooms were beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we needed, and the yard with games and a fireplace was such a treat. The location is unbeatable, too! Right across from the best beach

Stop by the lake.

Unfortunately there were road works going on at the entrance of the motel which made things less peaceful and noisy but this was not the fault of the motel. Can I say don’t judge a book by its cover -the room was immaculate and tastefully decorated with everything you could need for your stay, we enjoyed the little personal touch like the calming mist and chocolates, beach towels. The garden area is lovely and a short walk to private beach. It was in an ideal place for us but if you are Loki g to walk to restaurants etc that might be difficult it’s about a 5 /10 minute drive into town. We had a great sleep and enjoyed our stay.

Updated gem of a stay

What a lovely stay we had at the Lakeside. We were just there for one night, but could easily have stayed a couple more. The rooms were beautifully updated. The beds were super comfortable (supportive and cosy), the bathroom was very efficient (spotless, plenty of soft towels, great shower) and well stocked (fridge/coffee area with glasses/cups & keurig). Even chocolates & lavender pillow spray! You also get access to a private beach (accessible thru a convenient tunnel beside the hotel). We also booked a session at the sauna/cold plunge which was fabulous!

This Inn is well set for families and has a small kitchen and living room, however, the bed was small (double?) and not comfortable. We had a truck and trailer and parking was difficult. Staff was friendly and place was very clean.

The private beach is awesome. The motel rooms are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Hotel toiletries and chocolate are nice. Some rooms are dog-friendly, but not all the hotel facilities. It gets difficult to find parking at night, it would be great if each room would have an assigned parking spot.

Very sweet little room, friendly staff, and definitely a lot of care taken with the property. Biggest detriment was that it was a rainy weekend in June and the AC unit was not enough - I would imagine in the peak of summer that it would not be sufficient for a comfortable stay.
