The house was clean, and the host responded quickly. The house is across the street from the lake but has a nice view of the lake. The 5-10 minute drive is challenging with the rocks/washboard road, but as long as you take it slow it is okay.

You have to really love the nature.

On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. Plus there is no hot water in sinks which makes living very uncomfortable (no dishwasher as well). If you want to have a nice shower - forget about it! Showers have electrical warmers and you have to use small water presser to make it work. We got no hot water in both bathrooms when we arrived. Later shower was fixed in guest bathroom and we didn't want to spend time for waiting while other one will be fixed. So we just used the one shower. We also didn't have any cellural coverage at property. There is no proper road to the property - you have to drive really slow last 800m. But we did like the horses which walk freely around the house (and hummingbird right at the back yard).

Great space to take in Lake Arenal

This is a great spot to check out Lake Arenal if you want to be out of the hustle and bustle of La Fortuna. There's delicious food and drinks within 2-3 km from the house, and you're only a 25 minute drive to La Fortuna. Owner was super responsive with questions I had. I would definitely return.

Wonderful

It was very peaceful. Lovely bird watching and will probably stay again. Even though it was private it was still close to restaurants and owners were precious!

Beautiful property and views

We stayed at this propert for a week and had a great time Positives:. Cleanliness, tile work, woodwork. Well appointed with coffee provided spspectacular view from deck and side yard. Washer Negatives - last 500 meters of Road is dirt. Slow going due to rocks and large pot holes I recommend this house highly. But be aware the road is slow going

Amazing Location could be better.

Pros: Location-amazing views to lake and can see Volcano from the backyard of property. One of the best view from front porch. Service, kitchen supplies, Cons: Hot water, Mean to dry clothes, last 200 feet of road, No bed supply for third bed which was a couch in a living room sofa.
