Lovely rustic cottage in a superb location
The cottage was easy to find in a quiet village between the coast and the Picos de Europa. It's well laid out and been thoughtfully modernised. We ate out in the evenings but I think cooking a big meal there would be a challenge in the small kitchen area.
The bed was large, comfortable and quiet and the en suite was small but perfectly functional. Jose the owner was very friendly and helpful.
The local area is spectacular, the snow covered Picos making a superb backdrop to the golden sandy beaches. We didn't try La Sauceda restaurant next door as it's closed on Sunday and Monday evenings but there are plenty of good quality restaurants in easy driving distance.
We enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the not too distant future!
