Magical night in a castle!
My best friend and I got to experience what relatively few Americans will ever experience - sleeping in a real castle! What an experience! The grounds were beautiful, overlooking a flowing river and a gorgeous wooded area. The walk to the quaint town of Peebles was fabulous. Indeed, I can think of NOTHING of this one night experience for us that was amiss. We had the whole castle to ourselves. The accommodations were more than comfortable. In the room, we had a plethora of snacks and breakfast foods available for us before we checked out - strawberries, blueberries, yogurt, specialty bread, salmon, cream cheese, coffees, teas, jams... and chocolates on our bedside tables! The castle is reportedly haunted. On our way back into Edinburgh we had a few people ask if we saw the ghost who roams the castle, but unfortunately we did not. My only regret is that we did not have the castle chef prepare dinner - At 90 gbp per person, it was a bit pricey for us to consider. Anyway - 10/10! If I ever find myself back in Scotland, Neidpath Castle will be seeing me again!

Wonderful experience
The area and property is so beautiful, it is like being in a fairytale. Although it is an historical property it was clean and had everything we required. It was the highlight of our trip to the UK

Fantastic
Best decision ever. Having the whole castle to ourselves was amazing. So many fascinating rooms to explore. Views from the top were phenomenal. The 20 minute walk along the river into Peebles for dinner was so pretty. Katarina, who greeted us, gave a great and informative tour. And left us a lovely breakfast for the morning. The suite was cozy and comfortable. Loved being able to have a fire. Would highly recommend.
