Excellent Host
House was rented for 3 men working in area. The location was perfect, 7 minutes from job site and host couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating. One of our workers doesn’t drive so when two of us had to leave the state for a week Glenn was kind enough to take him to and from job site everyday. Thank you Glenn!!

Great place near Potomac Eagle Train
Wonderful country setting easily accessible for my 80 year old mom who has mobility issues. Close to Potomac Eagle train excursions. Fall foliage was amazing. Glen was very quick to respond and a great host.

Farmhouse
This place was excellent. Home was beautiful, cozy, and clean. Price was fair. Location was quiet, beautiful, and far enough away from the city, but close enough to the town that you could easily have access to the local grocery store, and pharmacy, etc. Owner was very nice, and quick to respond to any questions. Great place for family stay, or a couples getaway. The house had everything we needed in the kitchen, and a washer and dryer to do laundry since we were there for 4 days. The house was clean. Upstairs has no heat, but there were vent openings to allow heat to rise from the first floor. The first night was the only cold night. It was a pleasant surprise to get an up close experience with the farm animals right up the driveway. My two sons (15, 11) enjoyed being on the farm and seeing and petting the animals. They got to see two baby goats being born, and enjoyed watching the cows, horses, and chickens get fed. We will be staying there again for sure. Thanks again to the host for the wonderful hospitality.

Charming Farm House Stay
We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed the house. It was larger than I expected, with several cozy options for drinking tea and relaxing after a long day. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. The views around the property are beautiful, and we enjoyed stepping outside to the fresh air and sight of cows and horses in the fields around us. We hope to be back!

Felt like home
My husband and I we’re looking for a place to stay that; 1. Could accommodate 6 people comfortably. 2. Wasn’t to far of a drive to our property that we were working on. 3. Had a nice kitchen for making breakfast and dinner. We were very happy with the house and property. The farm animals were an added bonus ! We will be back as we have a lot of work on our own property that has to be done before we start building our house. Glenn was great to work with and responded to messages quickly.

Unplug and get off the beaten path to this cozy farmhouse
We chose this VRBO as an unplugged getaway. Reading the description and googling the address confirmed the house would be "something different," quiet and far from traffic. Having farm animals on site was a bonus, because we initially had every intention of just vegging out around the place. A nice surprise for us was that Glenn and Lisa's farmhouse feels like Grandma's (if you close your eyes and imagine having a Grandma who lives on a farm in the mountains), but comes with just the right amount of creature comforts and lovely decor. If you feel like riding the Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad in season, visiting Blackwater Falls, antiquing in Thomas, or even walking around the Union Fort Mill ridge historic site to see the trenches outside of Romney, this is a great place to stay.

Wonder host, awesome stay
Glenn was a phenomenal host. Extremely helpful, accommodating, and great communication from beginning to end. The house is a lovely 1901 farmhouse with recent updates, comfy beds, cozy sun room, full size kitchen, AND cable and WiFi. Glenn has really put a lot of thought into providing every day comforts and needs one might have during their stay.. The house is on a working farm with chickens, goats, cows, a pony, etc and a fabulous country view perfect for a peaceful and relaxing stay. The barn cat that identifies as a housecat was an excellent companion during our stay as well. We look forward to a return stay in the near future.

Plans changed
Due to our own personal factors we were unable to stay (no fault of the owners). We were looking forward to spending time at this property during color season. It looked lovely on the website. The owners were responsive and helpful.

Mountain Awwsomeness!
For the first time in a long time the kids were off any devices because the friendly animals on the property kept them engaged. The house was such a cool old house—really good size. Don’t expect modern conveniences as this is a wonderful, old rustic house with a lot of charm and plenty of room. The kids can’t wait to go back!

Work accessibility
This location was ideal as I was scheduled for work in Moorefield. Glenn was very understanding on the change of my schedule. He was accommodating and met me at the property immediately. Greatly appreciated as I had worked thru the night. He was very informative on the surrounding area and local amenities. I would recommend this property , especially the care Glenn gives to his tenant. Thanks again for the flexibility and opportunity to use the rental.

Lovely farmhouse
We had a wonderful time at this charming farmhouse. The hosts were friendly and very responsive. The house was stocked with everything we had forgotten, and the kids enjoyed meeting the chickens and lounging in the 'fancy' clawfoot tub. Weather was perfect for lazy afternoons playing in the grass next to the creek.
