Kachina Pueblo, a great place to stay

At the peak of the mountain, with the best views in Payson and a full private guest house. Your well behaved dogs are invited too. The amenities include a small gym and a sauna. You have full access to the house and the entire 1 acre property. You are at the top of the mountain with a 360 degree view for miles. Like the Kachinas, we are perched atop one of Payson’s highest points. We are on a private neighborhood road, with a small section of the road that is unpaved on the drive up. Quiet and secluded with a wonderful view of Payson and the surrounding town and mountains.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private balcony. A Smart television and a DVD player are provided for your entertainment, while complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected. Conveniences include a microwave and a coffee/tea maker.
Enjoy recreational amenities such as a sauna and a fitness center.
Guests will find features like internet access and onsite parking.

Second stay here
We stayed here 3 years ago and loved it, and was happy to return. The property is very well kept, and all went very well. The location at the top of a mountain gives outstanding views, even though it is so close to conveniences in the Payson area. We would definitely stay here again.

Located at the top of a hill, this property is fully secluded from the town. The serene views and smell of catclaw acacia and ponderosa pines sets the peaceful mood. This property is a vintage treasure of a moment in time.

Excellent stay
My husband and I stayed at this property with our 2 dogs. It's a great property. The pictures and descriptions online are accurate. The views are absolutely amazing. Communication by email was detailed and met all of our needs. My 4 star on cleanliness was just due to spiderwebs and bugs in the gym area - which I didn't spend time in so no big deal; there were a few ants near the kitchen sink but I couldn't find the source, no big deal tho, just rinsed them down the drain. I cooked food in the oven and could not find oven mitts in the kitchen but not a big deal we just used small bathroom towels. I understand people must move things around each stay. We are flexible and don't sweat the small stuff. It was a great getaway for 2 nights. We will definitely visit this property again! Great location. Fair price. Pet friendly.

Horrible
Horrible. It is very dirty! Carpets are filthy. Toilet needed cleaning on arrival. There is a broken, jagged bar inside the bathroom tub/shower. The shower curtain is crusty. The bathtub is dirty with a drain lever that doesn’t stay open so water doesn't drain out. The caulking around the tub is loose, cracked and moldy. There is no drain stopper at all in the master sink. The kitchen appliances are dirty. The two tables in dining area have peeling surfaces and two of the chairs are very wobbly. The latch on the sliding door to the deck is inoperable so the door is kept shut with a board. The air vents are crusted with dust and dirt. The area around skylight has stained and peeling water damage. The exterior appears to have wood rot with the trim siding boards rotting off around the view windows. The sauna looks gross and assorted gym equipment is piled in a small room next to it. A sign posted says to use both at your own risk. We booked at the last minute but relied on the 9.4/10 “exceptional” reviews. Mistake. We only stayed one night and left our food in our cooler and clothes in our bags and used our own blankets. Did not cook there and left early the next morning. Note: this is a “guest house” built in the back of a garage. The garage is used for storage (which is blocked off by room dividers down the stairs on the way to the sauna and dog yard). There is a great view from the deck windows. Too bad this place has been neglected.
