I am a single dad of two disabled young men, who has been blessed to go on quite a few 'adventures' over the years. We have been to Pawley's Island quite a few times, with this being the first in enjoying the generosity of our host, Amanda.
Said from a heart steeped in appreciation, Amanda could not have made the stay (from booking thru departure) any easier/worry free. You see, traveling with large children incapable of speech, can make any 'simple' moment into a 'huh ... didn't see that one coming...' moment (smile). As the dad, packing cleaning supplies, tools, and backpack full of apologies is the status quo, with non-stop quiet prayer. (no complaints of course)
Prayer is always a good thing, but thanks to the generosity of our host, this was more stress free than an hour or two at home (true story). The property was perfect; check in super easy; response to any questions was immediate; value ... unbeatable. The character of a person is revealed in how they treat those who may need perhaps a bit of help from time to time. Amanda is first class.
Thank you Amanda ... and most importantly thank you God for our trip, and the amazing people we met along the way. (Even if some of them didn't desire to be met...haha ... it happens.)
