We booked the room via Hotels.com. The host said they were going to send a mail on how to check in. Which we didnt recieve. One hour before arrival (still without a mail) we contacted the host on Whatsapp, without any respons. After that, we arrived at the house, and there was still nobody to let us into our room. So we called our host, and the host told us she would be there in maximum one hour. We waited outside for almost two hours, before she finally arrived. The check in process went smoothly except that they didnt take card (which Hotels.com said they would). Then we paid in cash, but since we didnt have exact the price for the city tax, we got a little change back. Which was in the wrong currency (Hungarian Florint). After that hassle we went to sleep. During the check out process the host said that we had only paid for to guests, not all three of us. We showed her the receipt where it stated that we had booked for three people. The host meant that was wrong, and we had to pay another 50 euros. Extremely unprofessional to demand money during check out like that. Then had the audacity to contact us later just to tell how she was right and we were wrong. The hospitality was strange from the start. The host was passive aggresive about what we could and couldnt do, almost like a dictator.
