At first, everything was going well - the communication was good, and accessing the building was easy. However, on the second day of being in the apartment, I started getting really bad bumps on my skin. Unfortunately, we discovered bed bugs and the owner offered to switch us to a different building. Despite this offer, we decided to stay as the owner assured us that someone would come over to clean and eliminate the bugs. However, upon our return from waiting at a cafe, we were shocked to see that the cleaner had washed the bed covers, towels, and carpet together in the machine, which was unhygienic. The situation took a worse turn when I realized I had only booked the place for 6 days, not 8. The owner reacted angrily, putting our belongings out and speaking to us disrespectfully. His behavior was alarming, and a phone call revealed his prejudiced attitude towards us. I’m a teacher at one of the most prestigious K-12 schools in the U.S and I visited Paris because I’m in charge of organizing a trip there next year and I was so busy trying to visit as much place as possible and get all informations needed for next year. I should have been more attentive to my booking details. This encounter showed me the unfortunate reality of encountering discrimination and disrespect from some individuals. Thankfully, I did not patronize his restaurant, as his behavior was unacceptable. It's disappointing to encounter such behavior, especially when trying to enjoy a visit to a new place.

Host not available most of the time. Incorrect instructions to enter property. No instructions on anything in facility, tv, heater, etc. This listing gives VRBO a bad name!

Beware of check in check out
James didn’t coordinate the check in/check out process. We were set up to check in at 2. We arrived early.1:30, tried to contact James 3 times - no reply. Then at 2, we went to the apartment and it was not cleaned. The poor cleaner had no idea that we were set up for 2pm. She thought we were the existing tenants and not moved out. James hadn’t told her. On check out day, the next tenants arrived before our check out time with the expectation that the apartment was available and clean. Terrible communication.

Fantastic studio apartment!
As a last minute booking after a cancellation, the host was excellent in communicating with us. The studio itself was perfect and easy commute into the main city, air conditioning that was a necessity in the heat, clean and had everything we needed, including a small and larger grocery store nearby, boulangerie, and in house laundry. There is no window but that made for a great night of dark sleep! Would highly recommend this place.

Just what I needed for my stay!
Exactly what I needed for my business trip - clean, simple check in/access to accommodation, easy access to public transport, great Wifi when catching up on emails and lots of nice restaurants close by. I appreciated the Nespresso machine in the morning too :) James was an excellent host and was able to send a plumber out the next day when the shower was draining slowly. His pizza shop which he invited me to visit makes delicious pizza too! I did not notice it in the pictures but do know there is not a window in the studio, if that is important to you.
