Beautiful and central
The hotel and room were beautiful and the staff was really helpful. Breakfast was awesome and so cool to have in the wine cellar! The location was very convenient and central for us. The staff went above and beyond to mail me clothing that I left behind as well!

We were put in a room where the ceiling height was as low as 1.60 com some places including the bathroom and the bedroom. We ended up hitting our head 5 times! They really push the norms in this hotel. There is also no air conditioning in the rooms. Terrible value for money

Great location, a bit dated hotel.
The position is great. The hotel is a bit dated and could do with some renovation. I was here during Olympics, staff very unhelpful to give some info about how to get around the city with all the police blocks due to Olympics.

The hotel was in a great location, walkable to the Metro, shopping, and dining! The room was comfortable and clean, but the outside of the building is currently under construction so the windows were obstructed by scaffolding. It was very hot during my visit, there is no AC in the rooms, and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the window open with the scaffolding.

A neat old hotel, great service and wonderful location in Paris. We stayed in mid-July and it was warm in our room on the 4th floor. We had no AC, but a large window we could open and a fan, but it was too hot during the day. The room is small, but everything we needed was there. Wonderful breakfast in the “old wine cellar,”. It’s a 17th building, so you have to appreciate and enjoy the experience. The hotel. did not abide by the prices quoted on hotels.com

Highly recommend. The area was very quiet in the mornings and felt very safe/clean. But also very fun, with lots of shops/restaurants. Best location I have ever stayed in while in Paris. The hotel receptionist was very helpful and nice. I loved the decor and facilities. I will definitely stay here the next time I am back. Thank you!

Great base in Paris
The hotel is well situated close to Hotel de Ville Metro stop and plenty of nearby shops bars and restaurants. It is just a short walk from Il St Louis and Il Citè. The rooms overlooking the street are a bit noisy and you will probably be out exploring during the day anyway,but it can serve you well as an alarm clock as deliveries and bit men come along about 7am! The room we had was more than adequate with plenty of hot water and well serviced daily. Breakfast was the usual continental fayre but ample and well laid out. Plenty of fresh coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The Hotel de la Bretonnerie is brilliantly located in a relatively quiet street in the middle of the Marais district, which was very busy when we were there. The rooms are old-fashioned, but well decorated and charming -- and relatively large by Paris standards. So ours were comfortable enough - wifi and fridge were good. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast in the cozy underground cellar was good as well (FRESH orange juice!). The only downside was the maintenance going on on the exterior of the building in the lead up to the 2024 Olympics - scaffolding, workmen, noise during the day (not REALLY bad, but noticeable). Otherwise all good - they even moved us to a quieter room even though the hotel was pretty much full.

This hotel is clean, friendly and in a fantastic location. Sure, it doesn’t have air conditioning and it’s not a “5 star hotel”, but it’s exactly as it says it is, and the location is epic. Would stay again, no problems.
