The whole community is run down. The motel was a poorly refurbished motel. It was clean, great water pressure, good beds. Water temps were reversed, shower walls and closet were poorly constructed. Parking was tight. Way overpriced for the community.
It was good. The room needed a small table with chairs to eat. There was cooking abilities but nowhere to sit and eat. Also no luggage caddy to fold out and put luggage on.
The motel was nice, but the bay access was not much to experience. Great if you a looking to get right on the water on a watercraft. But beyond that there was far too little space and far too many bugs to be a reason to stay at the motel. There are nearby beaches where you can sit and watch the sunset.

This was a great place to stay. Very convenient to everything. The only complaints would be the water temperature in the shower. It was either hot or cold not in between and the squeaky bed. Other than that I would recommend this place to anyone. We will be back!!

Disliked: Amenities
The rooms were tiny. The door didn't fit the frame. Gaps between the sides and bottom, allowing bugs in and air conditioning out. The bathroom was as small if not smaller than those on a cruise ship. They did a good job of trying to recreate the original motel only it didn't totally work out.
Everything was great... a couple suggestions: 1. you need a full length mirror, we bought new swimsuits and would have liked to see my whole body before heading to the beach lol
2. Advertise that hot tub because it never mentioned that and i almost changed my booking because we wanted a pool or something, when we saw the hot tub we were so glad that i didn't change our booking.
This place is great !!!
Beautiful 50’s-ish-retro-roadside-motel. Recently renovated and very well done. There are some snacks/drinks in the room available for purchase, very thoughtful. Didn’t anticipate this so we brought our own for an overnight stay.
Easy access to a marshy scenic area by the bay on a 650’ walking trail. Might be fishable with a kayak?
Basically an Air BnB situation: “No on-site staff” .
Needs someone on property if you need help or assistance. Needs more lighting and directions Weekends are quiet but concrete company right next to property gets noisy early in morning on weekdays
It was definitely a different experience. The fact that there is no onsite person to help you with check-in and getting settled in was a little rough Needs to be someone working onsite 24hours or signs directing you to the right room/building nothing was marked or no signs directing you to your accommodations and when it is dark and rainy it’s really difficult to find. But once we got settled it was a nice surprise and we ended up staying an extra night
We absolutely loved our stay at this motel. The staff were very friendly and check in and out was easy. I loved the key pad entry so no need to keep up with card key. Attended graduation in Tallahassee and commute to event was easy enough. The next day my family went to the nearby spring and had a great day. The motel is not perfect but you can tell the owner cares about the customers and had convenient grooming supplies and snacks in the room. The coffee was so good. Ground in a jar not pre packaged so you can made to your taste. We did have a visitor in our room the last night. A huge spider that may have got in under the door as there was a big gap underneath. There also was not much of outdoor seating and patio need an umbrella for shade. Shower was small but very happy it was clean and had hot water. I would recommend this property and would safe again. The property also has houses so great spot for family get away.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
It was OK for a boutique type motel. Some cost-cutting was evident as the cheap mini blinds were broken and I had to put a towel up over the window in the bathroom because the slats were missing. Other than that it’s an OK place.
