This private refuge has soaring ceilings, a gourmet kitchen, sumptuous retreats and a private backyard which feels like your own private resort. The attention to detail surrounds your senses as it embraces everything about mid-century architecture: tongue and groove ceilings, fireplaces and fire pits, teak wood details, breezeblock and brise soleil, outdoor boomerang bar with modern and updated comforts: meticulously designed baths, large saltwater pool with two tanning decks, outdoor natural stone ping-pong table, poolside sun and cabana-style lounging.
When you enter through the front door, a large living room greets you with 16-foot ceilings and an elegant gas fireplace where you can immediately pour yourself a Cuba Libre or blend your first Pina Colada at the tiki bar (complete with wine fridge and ice maker. The immense living room flows directly to the open dining area and open gourmet kitchen. The dining area is large enough for your entire group with seating for 12 at a custom-designed table. The kitchen is well-equipped form appliances to service ware for casual vacation life or formal holiday entertaining. A convenient powder room is just off the kitchen and dining area.
Continuing past the dining area, on the West wing of the house, are special guest retreats. These room all connect to each other. First is a second, more casual family room that offers a King-size Murphy bed and fireplace. Next is a cozy guest bathroom and bedroom featuring two twin beds. At the of end of the West wing is the magnificent main master suite drenched in natural light from the multiple skylight panels with retractable shades. The bedroom offers a King size bed, TV, bar fridge and sumptuous bath featuring dual vanities, dual shower heads, and tub. An outdoor shower is just outside this bathroom. All three rooms: master bathroom, bedroom and adjoining twin retreat all have glass sliders to gain you direct pool access.
On the East side the house, the other 3 rooms wait for hosting duties accessible through a common hallway. Two guest rooms, one featuring two twin beds and another with a queen bed and sitting area, share a guest bathroom. The second master suite offers a King bed, hanging chair, and a private bathroom offering dual vanities and a rainfall shower. This Master also has access to its own privation patio.
Outside hits all the marks: a newly remodeled 24 x 32 saltwater pool with two tanning shelves, an attached spa, plenty of poolside chaise lounges for sunning, and two retractable shades. Tucked into the back corners of the property are two firepits for twilight s’mores. Running the East side of the yard, under shade are entertaining areas designed to feature the stunning views of the San Jacinto mountains. A cabana bed lounge area transitions to an outdoor bar and grill area. Outdoor dining is a must with two separate dining are possibilities – on that doubles as a ping pong table.
Vista Las Palmas is a premier neighborhood of Palm Springs. It’s sometimes referred to as the ‘Beverly Hills’ of Palm Springs. This very affluent neighborhood is rich with architecture and Hollywood history. It should be noted this neighborhood has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. The owner(s) like to stress this home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party-central” home. Each guest is expected be as good a neighbor as the owner(s) themselves. Special events like weddings are not allowed.
