The front desk and valet staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, the hotel appeared clean and had a pleasant scent. Our room was mostly tidy, but I noticed the floors could have used a better mopping, and the rug under the bed wasn’t vacuumed. However, the linens and towels looked and smelled fresh.
My wife and I felt that the management's execution of their ideas could use some improvement. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon for one night, and we chose this hotel partly because it features two bars/restaurants. Unfortunately, the restaurant near the lobby was closed until dinner, leaving us with only the rooftop bar for cocktails. Although it was only 2 PM and not very busy, the indoor DJ was far too loud for the space, making it impossible to have a conversation. It felt more like a nightclub in Vegas than a relaxing bar, although both bartenders were friendly and welcoming. Our experience was different when we returned for breakfast the next morning, as the bartenders were less inviting.
We walked by the pool a few times, but it didn’t look inviting. It was crowded with high-top tables and chairs, while the lounge chairs were cramped together on one side, all occupied.
To make the most of our stay, we decided to explore downtown, which is conveniently walkable from the hotel. The hotel also offers a golf cart service to transport guests around the area, which is definitely a highlight.
