This hotel is very outdated and the price tag does not match the quality of the property. The property is in great need of updating to the inside and outside of the building. The room was not very clean. Even my 11 year old made a comment of the lack of cleanliness when we got to our room. The room was very cold. It appeared that there was a small lg room heater on the wall. We tried to turn it on. It would sound like it was starting to work but then would shut off before it actually would start putting any heat out. Thankfully I brought some blankets and we made use of the extra blankets that were in the closet. We will not be back to this hotel. I loved the town of Pacifica. The view of the ocean from our room was nice, however the roof top looks very outdated and is also quite an eyesore. If we go back to Pacifica anytime soon we will book at the Fairfield Marriott a block away.

From check in the stay was awful. Took 15 mins to write out all my personal information, despite already paying online with Expedia. Then the smell hits you, the corridors, then my room was like a moldy old shoe. The room was dated, lights hanging off the ceiling in the shower, green stuff all over shower walls. Then black mold on bathroom ceiling. No moisturizer and despite telling the front desk day 1, it was never filled, as there was no service to room. 3 nights stay and not once did anyone come in to change towels. The gym is very old and dirty, should not be advertised, as there are no weights that can be used. The lady the first night, not the check in person, she was very rude. Never seen such poor customer service. Corridors have wall paper falling off due to water leaks around every window, which is where all the mold smells come from. The place is filthy and a health risk with the mold. I would never recommend going here.

Beautiful view of the ocean you’re right on top of the beach. But that’s about all that’s special here. Feels very out dates. Wall was crumbing in, pool and hot tub felt sad. If you want an uncomfortable bed but gorgeous view and to wake up hearing wave crashing then this is your place. Would possibly stay again.

The hotel sits directly on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. The views of the water from the Moonraker restaurant is amazing. The food is just as amazing as the views. The size of the room was spacious and clean and it contained your usual amenities of a refrigerator but it did not have a microwave. The hotel staff was helpful when called upon. It is a short drive to San Francisco about 20-25 minutes in light traffic. The decor of the hotel could be spruced up as it is somewhat out dated. There was good lighting throughout the property which was nice. Free on site parking was a plus. The hotel sits in the town of Pacifica which is a charming place along Northern California. There were several small shopping boutiques next door along with a small family run restaurant next to the hotel.

The staff was rude and not knowledgeable. The desk person walked away while we were still speaking to her and refused to give us her name. The room was dark and smelled very musty. The partial ocean view was a joke. You mostly saw the top of the restaurant. The restaurant is only open for dinner. No lunch or breakfast. The bathroom was not clean and there was food from the last guest still in the fridge. 2of the towels looked like they were used and hung back up. We have been going to this hotel for 35 years and over the past 2 years it has been rapidly declining. We tried to tell a staff member that something had been spilled in the elevator but they didn’t speak English so they didn’t understand. We are very disappointed in our stay and will have to do some hard thinking about going back. This is very sad because we loved the hotel and the area.

The only pro for this hotel is the ocean. It is right on the ocean, which is beautiful. But the hotel, itself, is horrible. Half of the rooms aren't even available because they need "maintence", but really it's because they are structurally unsound. You can see the obvious caving in of the floor and the bowing of the patio railings. It seems very unsafe. And they charged us an extra $100 for a "security deposit" without telling us first. This used to be one of my favorite vacation spots, but our most recent trip will probably be our last here unless they shape up and start caring for the hotel like it needs.
